Dragon Flight requires Win 10+?

Yep. Same here. But someone’s tantrum over not disabling it is hilarious to watch.

Very encouraging to hear that.
With both 8 and 10 the internet was on fire with hate over the ads and crap.
There were articles during both pre releases about MS wanting to make ad revenue with Windows. Its a flipping OS. If they wanted an android system, they should have offered it ONLY on their phones and/or tablets. Ads have no place on my work desktop.

I suggest you actually read the exchange again. but dont bother. I’ll fix this problem right now too.
have a nice day.

Sounds good! If you need any other information, here’s a link. :purple_heart:

Oh no! I’ve been ignored! :scream:

Anyway. LOL

I have no idea what you are talking about never had ads on windows 10 (skipped 8) and I don’t have ads on my android either. Unless I am using a free app or the browser which has nothing to do with the OS.

Are you talking about preinstalled software and games?.. Just uninstall them.

came with the Software…as every link Ive posted about the matter confirms.

Why are you calling them pop ups when they are just suggestions on the start menu? Just disable them in the start menu options.

That’s not a pop up.

um…did you not read the first one? Literally called

Yes, its on the bar down there, but it also hits us with popups from those bars…the one in particular. Its less annoying having it happen as it is that MS turned their OS into a cheap ad platforum.

I spose those too young to have started with DOS who got to see Windows become a thing…who maybe started with 7 or 8…didnt have enough time to enjoy windows BEFORE it turned into a cheap salesman, lol.
I did. I remember the excitement of Windows 3 and 95, waiting for release. Being excited about it. Then years later having MS turn it into ad revenue.
like I said, do it to my phone or my tablet, but dont put ANY ads of ANY kind on my work desktop anywhere, thanks

Yeah… Never had pop ups on windows 10. You prob have a virus bruh. Don’t go to dirty websites on your work computer.

I wouldn’t expect Windows 7 to be a smooth experience in general as it ages out. There are many problems that make supporting old operating system versions impossible for everyone involved. The OS developers can’t spend time and money supporting something they don’t sell, it is just not possible economically. Software developers for that OS don’t like to be stuck in older versions, hamstringing the new version. Once the install base for Windows 7 drops below a certain point, it is just not realistic to support it. You simply have to upgrade periodically, Windows 7 is now many years out of date. It is part of your duty as a responsible computist to not languish in decade out of date software.

lost post count alt…shoulda figured. I’ll fix that problem right now
Read the links again
no virus required.

Check to see what’s running in the background…

    1. Press Windows key + r and type msconfig, hit Enter.
    1. Click on Startup tab.
    1. Open Task Manager.
    1. Right click on the program and select disable/enable

FOR WINDOWS 10

I don’t need to read the links when I used windows 10 since release until windows 11 came out.

I never had pop up ads. Pop ups stopped a long time ago.

what I find quite perplexing with this thread is its literally ABOUT DF requiring Win 10, NOT my popups. That issue was mentioned and you all are DERAILING this OPs thread with the obsession of defending MS and their ad ridden OS. lol

Since we’re not on the TOPIC here at this point, I’ll /mute the thread now
:+1:

Me either, both at home and at work, never seen adds these people are talking about.

You are the one derailing the thread with false information and conspiracies about pop ups. Lol

Just out of curiosity, what year is your MoBo/BIOS?

Built my current rig back in 2010, been updating GPU, hard drives, memory as needed over the years. Still runs very nicely, no hiccups (except trying to play D2:Ressurected when it first dropped, cause no AVX, I think thats what it was) But my motherboard…pretty sure I’m borked in the next few years.

EVGA x58 sli ftw3.

A new MoBo won’t be cheap, and I’m going to have to relearn some of the aspects of building a computer again (new wiring, cables, ports…??) How much of the guts am I going to have to update to make it all work?

Except it’s free…
