Dishonorable Kills for Lowbie Killing Scum

Please dont be ignorant.

Isn’t false I know my facts.

Instead of dishonor for ganking lowbies, I think they should scale the lower level character up to the same level as the higher level character and scale their gear up to a low-end ilvl for that level, so if a level 30 gets attacked by a 120 they would be scaled up to level 120 with ilvl 320 gear or so. I don’t mind similar level PvP when I’m leveling a toon with Warmode on, but getting repeatedly ganked by a bored 120 is just lame.

I agree with you on principle…but a Max Level Ganking a Lowbie (even a Lowbie Alt) is how I met my GF.

Oh yeah, about that, the guy that was banned turned out to be banned for “player harassment” by sending quotes from Monty Python to his previous guildmates through the in-game mail a month before the PVP happened. I hate to be that guy (even moreso because I’m the one that started the thread you just linked) but this doesn’t have much to do with banning people for PVP.

Ironically enough, it seems like that player was mass-reported and that the situation was misrepresented by the reporting party. At least, that’s what the shaman said in his update, which is in the reddit post linked in my thread.

no, you’ve fallen hook, line, and sinker, for fake news.

One of the links SHOWS that it had nothing to do with pvp.
It seems as though there was some inappropriate trash-talking or similar on their behalf, which caused their suspension.

If it was so “unjustified”, they should have posted in the Customer Support forum… where a rep could have taken a look and clarified the TRUTH for everyone to see.

I think a dishonorable kill system should come back. And also applying a debuff and some other type of penalty. Here some idea:

  • Your first dishonorable kill will give you a 30 minutes debuff, where your stats will be reduced in a 30%. Also and account wide penalty, where all your characters will loose 5% of their total gold.
  • If you do a second dishonorable kill before the debuff it’s gone, your stats will be reduced in a 40%, and the time of the debuff will be restarted. Another account wide penalty, where all your characters will loose 15% of their total gold.
  • 3 dishonorable kills will increase the debuff to 50%. Another account wide penalty, where all your characters will loose 30% of their total gold.
  • 4 dishonorable kills will kill the character it self and not will be allowed to resurect for 2 hours. Another account wide penalty, where all your characters will loose 50% of their total gold.

Just an idea.

You turned warmode on.

I really have no sympathy, anymore, for anyone dying in PvP.

Ever since I saw my next honor reward was a mount I already had when I was Prestige 23 I don’t care about honor. I don’t farm it. So taking it away would mean nothing.

Dishonorable kills had teeth in the original classic PvP ranking. One mistake. One tab error could cost you a month of progress at the higher levels.

Other than that though, nobody cared.

You literally have to push a button saying, “I accept and am willing to die.” to turn on warmode.

You enter the wild west.

There no rules.

If you die, you die.

If anything I am for them implementing a rule that if you die in warmode your character is permanently deleted. Forever.

Name erased from all history books.

Face pixels forever removed from character creation.

Gone.

Interesting Idea. Would kill World PvP though.

It was slight sarcasm on my part.

But I do recall playing Asheron’s Call where in PvP if you died you could be looted and literally lose gear to the looter.

Made PvP more high stakes.

A similar concept could be neat as a higher tier of Warmode.

Runescape does that too. It was either you lost your three most valuable items or kept everything but your three most valuable items. Or you lost everything.

This would just cause gankers to get level to level 110 with leggo or close to that, and then the characters suicide into the 120’s. With leggos you either are forced to kill them or they will kill you.

They then reverse gank you by making you kill them.

It’s a stupid idea that solves nothing.

Despite your “level” you are an enemy soldier. They aren’t going to ignore you, and it’s stupid to think they should have to.

dishonorable kills will not scare people off that enjoy doing that kind of thing.

I actually recall people intentionally racking up dishonor.
