Did I get into the full classic beta or not?

I am a time traveler. /wave

So it seems as if I might have gotten access? Can’t really tell though, I login and I see all three servers but they all state they’re offline. No other indication than that, clarification would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

If you have the client - and you can see the servers, yes you are in the stress test.

Hey there Orlyia, I do I know if I made it into the Beta, do I just log on and look into my available servers?

I do not know if old account makes a difference in being invited to the beta. mine is almost 15 years old (inactive for a maximum of 6 months), I opted for the beta and I was not invited.

Most players who opted in were not invited. It’s a limited Closed Beta.

Thanks for the clarification Mirasol. I’m on the F&F list and normally get in beta so I can stream to my community and generate other advertising through tournaments and events I attend. I’m headed to DreamHack Dallas next weekend and sponsored 12 gamers to come with us so was really hoping to showcase WoW Classic @ BYOC area but have yet to get invited. :frowning: So I can confirm even being on the F&F list and having a small influence the beta invites are a lot more strict this time around. I’m still hoping for a new wave invite to come out that includes additional F&F and RNG opt-ins. Here I continue to wait and check launcher daily. lol

You will have gotten an email and there will be an entry for Beta-Stress Test on your launcher drop down just above the Play button

A few million subs, maybe 5K beta testers. Not being one of the 5K should be expected.

True fan playing 14 years and I didn’t get invited to beta classic was really disappointing. :frowning:

Guess what, it doesn’t guarantee you a Beta spot. It was only one of the criteria that Blizzard used to select players for the Beta. It is not the only one.

That is “factors,” plural. It also doesn’t say what age accounts they wanted.

Yes. If you can select I think classic pve or classic PvP and make a toon you are in the beta.

If you cannot, you are in the stress test only.

I do have a question. I received an invite to the first stress test, however I could not get the download in the drop down menu at all. Don’t know if it was because of the 2 ptr servers I had, and 1 only got removed around the time the stress test ended. It says that the people who were invited to the first stress test would be invited to this one. As of the time of writing this I still have no option for the stress test. I want to know if that is a possibility for me since I was unable to get the stress test to pop up in the download menu. If not I completely understand but would just like some clarification. Thanks

They said the ones invited to the first Stress Test are going to be invited to the one today.

they made it a point to flag anyone who played in vanilla who currently has an active sub today. did you ever have any infractions your account?

I’m not sure that Bliz flagged everyone who has an active Wow license and played in vanilla. There are players who did play during that period commenting around various social media that they haven’t been invited.

In the two places I’ve seen Bliz talk about it, it’s been worded more to say that they are making sure to invite from that group, but not necessarily all of them. Is there something form Bliz I may have missed about that?

everyone i’ve known who played in vanilla was invited, and i don’t see why blizz wouldn’t invite someone who played in vanilla that plays today unless they had some kind of infraction on their account. just a theory, nothing posted by blizz indicated 100%

Definitely just a theory. I’ve never had an account action and I played in vanilla and I was not invited to the beta. So there you go, you now know one person who wasn’t

Who knows, I have 2 accounts from 2004. One account is active one is not. Still no invite.
