Go check out either flyer in GW2 or the dragon riding in Century: Age of Ashes (it has terrible netcode and even worse MM so I didn’t stick around). Both have massively superior mount movement and controls. Blizz had stuff they could and did steal from, they just did a bad job of it and produced a system that is inferior to the ones they were trying to mimic.
You act like that opinion is wrong just because you don’t agree with it, but many people willgladly accept the path of least friction even if it’s slower.
You’ve missed the point. By pro flying supporters I’m referring to the people who didn’t care about flying for the sake of fun. I’m talking about the people who only cared about it so they could be as lazy as possible when playing the content.
Dragon Riding is by far one of the best experiences in game in terms of flight. It took something boring that trivialized travel and turned it into something interesting to do.
I believe that you misunderstand my statement on who exactly I am talking about. The only foolish comment I see is your own.
Like I have said before, if they were so confident that Dragonriding > traditional flying then release both at the same time and lets put that theory to the test.
They aren’t so they wont, the is blatantly, neon sign clear at this point. They would have to justify why they flushed away so much time/resources just to satisfy Ion’s hateb**** against regular flying.
This is a shadow of GW2, they couldn’t even rip that off right. Time gated bs just trying to learn to fly what a joke, i mean do they expect you to get into the rhythm when you have to stand there for 5 minutes before testing it again? This is complete busy work bs.
Possibly, if the developers ever took said lazy players complaints seriously and catered to them, then absolutely.
Even with how fun Dragon Riding is, compared to expansions with forced ground exploration the world still feels barren. Outside of quest hubs, while traversing the world, encounters have been low compared to when forced ground based travel was in effect.
It’s only because Dragon Riding is so enjoyable that it outweighs my disappointment with starting the expansion with such an empty feeling world.
There are many reasons to be ‘over it’ once the novelty wears off, and this is exactly what I was predicting would happen once the honeymoon of dragonriding wore off and people saw what they’d be having to do for the entire expansion.
How exactly does it impact your enjoyment of the game?
Oh you’re just an anti-flying person through and through. Nothing anyone says or does will convince you otherwise. You can’t have fun unless everybody has fun your way.
ROFL! I love how you specifically choose to flat out ignore/not quote the literal reasoning I gave and yet, for all your blustering and big talk, yet when confronted with an actual legitimate reason you can’t argue against you just flat out ignore it and go “Oh you’re just an anti-flying person through and through.”
The tired old “mUh WoRlD fEeLs EmPtY” line that’s complete nonsense? I don’t remember seeing that spouted all over the place back in BC or wrath or cata or MoP.
I don’t think so because in other posts some folks that want regular flying in DF is because of motion sickness. If the regular mounts went the 800% speed the DF mounts go I just don’t think that would help those folks at all.
I can tell after a few days playing DF I went back to storm wind for a lower alt, regular flying even at 310 speed felt so slow and unsatisfying to me.
PS is there really no way to turn off this auto correct stuff?
i get that its new and fun can go fast weave bob all those cool things and your dragon rolls wooo soo cool. person with vision problems i know i know “how can you play when youre blind” stubbornness/ thats the best part of my old crappy bird he might go slow but even my blind butt can find his way around without being like ope missed it ope stalled spend 5 mins runing around lost. just gimme back a bird or give the dragons the ability to scale walls one of those lol
