Open the path finder, I’d like to use the mounts I’ve spent time farming. Short jumps sure, but after 2 days I use the flight paths…

I ask for understanding, but what do you mean “short jumps?” I clear a huge part of the zone in one go, if not make it to the next. Or are you talking multiple zones?

Something I’m curious about: Do people who want regular flying feel that regular flying mounts should be made to go the same top speed as dragon riding mounts (830% speed) or do they just want regular flying speed (310%)? I just can’t imagine volunteering to go almost 3x slower. The zones are really big.

Personally I find it fine for long distance but would prefer regular flight while doing herbalism/mining on my druid specifically because of all the short jumps that can require.

Dragon riding is great. I just now got all my glyphs and I can fly through every single zone without landing. It’s honestly a great system. You can’t afk it but it’s not like you’re having to make constant inputs.

Lighten up Francis, you will be able to use your other mounts in time when they unlock regular flying.

I’m curious, have you gone around getting all of the glyphs? The DR is so much more useful once you have the full talent tree filled out.
Dragon Riding mounts are so much faster though. People would be zooming by you all the time if you just used a regular flying mount.

I’m gonna be honest on this one – dragon riding is amazing. I get some people might not like it for one reason or another but it is so much better and faster than regular flight for a tiny amount of more effort / paying attention. I really wish people would give it some time, farm out the glyphs and reap the benefits. Disabilities is one thing, or people finding it difficult for one reason or another. But there’s no reason to turn it down because you’re “over it” when it is infinitely better than normal flight.
The only thing you cannot do with dragon riding that you can do with normal flight is AFK.

you unlock a talent that gives you increased vigor regen when you mine/herb, and eventually can mine/herb while staying on the dragon

I have all of them. The regen talent is like 10% though.
For the record it’s not like I’m sitting around waiting all the time, but there are a few points where I get several nodes in one area and they all need a short hop to get to each other which can very quickly deplete vigor even with full upgrades.
You’re over it meanwhile I’m over here planning on how to glam out my dragons for each alt.

Why is it not now sounds unfair to me for people who don’t like it or got problems it. Imagine getting tons of feedback in beta and ignoring it and then punishing people who don’t like it and then not even releasing the date lol they crack me up with the forcing can’t even finish the story without it.
Btw I could care less if it’s slower.

I mean you still can. Just not flying. As a avid mount farmer, I am fine with how things are right now. The new mechanic is fun and makes you think more than “hop on mount, press space bar to go up, or hit auto walk button and afk”
