Q: Why did you leave the keys upon the table?
A: You wanted to.
Huh.
That be true.
I am become toxicity, destroyer of circles.
whispers âI also left the stove onâŠâ
Sir. I donât think I can trust in your self righteous suicide!
Itâs kinda sad but you have to go through some crap for this to have any merit. But, I agree.
Sure, just go ahead and define toxicity and Iâll be sure to watch out for it
Since people say stuff like this
I have no idea what it means and Iâm inclined to believe that people use âtoxicâ as a catchall for âI donât like this and the bandwagon phrase right now is toxicâ.
Maybe toxicity is cherry-picking specific posts to undermine the idea that standards for player behavior could possibly exist. Who knows? I guess nobody will ever know. I guess itâs unknowable.
What is your definition of âtoxicityâ? What are your standards?
We see a lot of posts saying that âtoxicity should be acted on by blizzard to keep the forums a safe placeâ by people who seem to feel that âeveryone who refuses to accept that my opinion is right and theirs is wrong is toxicâ.
What indeed? What is toxicity? How do we define it? I guess thereâs no way to know. Everything is fine right now, I guess. I canât imagine why anyone would complain! Am I being toxic right now by not providing an itemized list of toxic traits/behaviors that someone could then dismantle one-by-one, thereby proving that I am wrong/oversensitive? Maybe? I guess?
I mean, nobody can know anything, can they? And I guess that means that communicating to anyone at any time just isnât a great idea? I guess?
If youâre going to tell us that people should be shunned for being âtoxicâ but are unable to define what is a âtoxic behaviorâ worthy of shunning, then how would anybody know which friends they are supposed to shun?
You could be absolutely correct that my failure to explain to you (a person with their own values and standards) how I (a person with their own values and standards) define toxic behavior is somehow toxic. I honestly have no idea. Who can say?
The point is that the word has no meaning if you use the word to cover everything.
Not if wow is a singleplayer game to you.
Shun everyone. Itâs the only way to be sure.
Raises the interesting question of whether someone can be toxic to themselves.
Well, granted a ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for. Truth is, at best a guild is a cheap imitation of human connection, but it will never be a substitute for the real thing.
