The triffids are back. My cherry tomato plants are over my head. I have to add some extra support for them. I’m 5’3". The other plants are a bit shorter. We could sure use some rain though. We’re getting a bit of a tstorm right now, but it’s dry so far. Happy holiday weekend to everyone. All the house movers are sure to be busy.

Careful - my sister (in Livonia) has given up on planting pretty much anything - the deer and rabbits eat everything.
Today is the first day this week that has had even a trace of clouds. They say we have a chance of rain all weekend, but the way it’s been, I’m not holding my breath. It is a lot more humid than it’s been for a while, though. Tomorrow will be quite a bit cooler, then hot again next week. 
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend. I’m sure I’ll have a terrified pup most evenings. She’s not a fan of fireworks.

So instead of $15.65 per hour, I’ll be making $31.30 per hour! I normally get the Holiday days to work on at work since no one else wants them.

Just handed my eldest our closing packet and told him to hold on
He asked if it was impprtant and i said look at the first page. His eyes bigged so big. It was great.

One of the places I worked had you working alternate Christmases. I was scheduled first Christmas. Every Christmas after that I was scheduled it off because I worked the one before. Every Christmas I would trade shifts with someone who had children who wanted Christmas off. I did the same for Hallowe’en. Most other holidays around here get celebrated according to work schedules rather than the specific day.

Day started out okay…
About 11am I notice my car was running a bit hot when I was heading to a brauhause to meet a few friends playing an ACW miniature game.
I leave about 1:30 and make my way home, car basically overheats when I got home. My mechanic is closed to Tuesday, so I’m stuck. I checked in with my dad to let him know what is going on and call my sister to arrange rides for Mondays BBQ. In the process, I banged the hell out of my knees, so I take an ibuprophen then go take a nap.
I get woken up about 3 by a police officer knocking at my door. Apparently I napped hard and didn’t answer my dad’s 4 phone calls and banging against my wall, so he called in a wellfare check on me.
Got that sorted out, and made arrangements to fix the car on Tuesday. Making dinner right now, Meatball Kabobs with BBQ sauce.
