Jeez - those prices are still pretty steep. When I built my PC last year, I went with a 2060. Great graphics, and I can run WOW on max settings, but I didn’t have to sell a kidney to afford it.
That, and it was in stock.
My.pc is over 7 years old. Wow runs on lower settings.
I want a monster so in 4 or 5 years i can still play new releases with decent setting.
I want it to last
So i am going to make an investment in myself, my mental wellbeing, and find that spark of fun again.

That’s why I built mine. I have a nice gaming laptop (at least, it was nice 2 1/2 years ago when I bought it). That still does okay, but since you can’t really upgrade a laptop, I built this. The only problem is that it keeps my office toasty.
Plenty of room to upgrade this, too. Once video cards come down a bit more, I’ll upgrade that. And maybe some more RAM, too. But I’m not doing my usual bit of just adding hard drives when I run out of space. I’ve had computers with 4 or 5 HDDs in them because of space issues.
I can imagine the heat this might put out. Gonna get some good case fans and it will also be liquid cooled
I just feel i need this. Even if all i do is play Fortnite while my son is at his moms with him for now, i need more than coming home and watching tv, YouTube, etc. I need ME back, it has been long enough.

Nice rig Kyzera. Gives me some thoughts to shoot for.
We upgraded our computers in May '19. My previous rig was from '12. My laptop is fron the '12-ish era as well. I’ll probably need to upgrade to another PC if I’m going to start really getting into astrophotography and the doctorate after our move.

I feel you need it, too. Go crazy, get the big HD monitors, too; having dual monitors is great for looking up stuff while playing (where to find transmogs, what pets I should use for battles), and getting distracted by reading forums and Reddit while playing.

I am kind of antsy. I think I will take a trip to Best Buy to browse some new keyboards, etc.
Appointment was at 2 for buyers. I am dying inside waiting for that phone call to come get my money etc haha.

Well, well, well… an hour and a half ago, I was awarded a scholarship for half of my classes up to my dissertation. 
No one has informed me that I’ve been re-accepted back into the program. 
I figured if they could get half of my program’s costs in 24 hours, I’ll wait to see until after the holiday to decide whether to commit our funds towards the effort.
But just wanted to say…

New comp means new kkeyboard, mouse, and headset. That way my eldest can have this potato as it works fine for him to draw on etc.

I got a nice surprise yesterday.
They were saying a few years ago that all pto would switch to Use It Or Lose It. My vacation has been cashed out every year since, still.
Yesterday, I see that they have cashed it out again…at my new pay rate! SCORE!
Oh and it was tacked onto an existing weekly paycheck with 84.43 hours.

OK, we are officially closed. HUGE amount of stress off my shoulders. They have signed, now just have to wait for our title company to get us the final documents tomorrow morning and pick up my check.
Had fun at Best Buy. I LOVE Corsair peripherals, so went to look at what I will be buying.

Also, my computer is currently on an old kitchen table. Going to buy a 55 inch gaming cable that has a cupholder and headset hook built in. No more hanging off the side of the monitor. Last piece will be to find a new monitor. My son will get my super old second monitor, my 7 year old Asus 24 inch gaming monitor will turn into my second monitor, and I will buy a new either 27 or 32 inch gaming monitor most likely.
Opinions on if I should go 27 or 32???
Man, I could not focus on ANYTHING else today. Such a relief.

Watching strange new worlds and going did they seriously just do that and yep they did wont say what they did to avoid spoilers but yep.
Binge watched Boys, most of season 2 and 6 epusides if season 3 last few days.
Why do i do this? It is SOOO good
