Im going to bed before i say something i shouldnt.
After the day theyâve no doubt had, and will have again tomorrow:
/Prepares and sends both Customer Support and the Server Live Ops team several batches of my home made cold brew
So it looks like Dad is experiencing a little bit of Kharma today. After teasing me about their âcoldâ weather alert, theyâre getting snow. Not a flurry, not a dusting, but actual, measurable accumulation; as much as 8 inches is possible. FDoT has shut down a 70-mile stretch of I-10 while they try to figure out how to clear it.
Not too worried about Dad, heâs the embodiment of common sense. Heâll forgo his morning walks in favor of his stationary bike, and warm up a mug of glĂŒhwein.
Iâll make my secret stash of Baileyâs available.
Morninâ. Had a fun night at bowling. Beat my average by 11 pins, so itâs still going up. Our league uses a different oil pattern every four weeks, making it somewhat a challenge learning how to throw the ball to get it to do what you want. Fortunately, the last three or four patterns have been very good for me.
Still super cold here, but itâs getting a bit better. Weâll actually hit the teens today, then 20s for the rest of the week.
Got some home-made stuff here. Itâs fantastic - and you can use the good stuff in it, not just some random cream whiskey (though Iâm not sure whether Baileyâs uses cream or a non-dairy product).
Sets a bottle of the good stuff out, alongside fresh coffee, tea, and doughnuts - as well as some non-alcoholic flavorings for the coffee
*Yoinks some Baileyâs, adds some vanilla V, a can of Starbuckâs doubleshot, and lines the glass with Hersheyâs chocolate syrup*
I shall let that chill in the fridge until my Zoom telemed appointment is over. Then I can enjoy myself while meticulously uninstalling Zoom (because I like a clean rig and almost never use a camera). At least I know ahead of time not to bother with the LogiTune software since it causes issues with connected USB devices. Thankfully I only need to use the USB 2.0 port on my case for this since Iâm just doing 1080p even though the MX Brio 4k can doâŠwell, 4k.
Iâm also shiny and clean. I like being shiny. I like being clean. I loathe getting out of the shower since the instant temperature change massively overstimulates me. On the plus side, at least I now have a replacement for the Neutrogena T-Gel shampoo, as a company now makes the same thing (Itâs called T-Plus, same ingredients as T-Gel extra strength, and the company is women owned to boot!).
I was going to clean off my bunk bed as itâs a royal mess, what with me not having slept in it in nine years because of my pleurisy, but I think Iâll just get a blanket and drape it over the railing and just hide it ghetto style. Iâll only need it like that for about a half hour anyway.
My favorite pattern is Cheetah. I think theyâve revised it since the early 2010s and itâs a 35 ft. length pattern, which is shorter than it used to be.
They use cream. Milk and lactose allergies are noted on their product page, so definitely not for those who are lactose intolerant.
Seems to me there should be less complaining in this thread about whatâs going on in other threads.

I have a USB camera on my desktop, but my work laptop has a built in camera (which we never use). The first thing I did when I got it was cover the camera. Theyâre still spying on me (Iâm sure), but at least they canât see me playing with my dog or wandering, or checking the forums while Iâm waiting for work to do.
The editing on that loop is just about perfect.
I generally deny apps use of either the microphone or camera until Iâm using it. Thankfully Windows is pretty good about not messing with that once youâve set it.
If you approach at just the right angle they might mistake you for a cosmic string and BOOM, instagibbed.
Well, good thing Iâm over 600 light years away from Sol in ED.
I had to switch the paint job on my ship, because the glow in the dark kinda ruined the feels of travelling through the vastness of space.
No, I meant they get instagibbed (you may not be a cosmic string, but Iâm sure your ship is packing heat).
I would really, really love an updated modern version of Star Raiders that uses controllers properly instead of having to run an Atari 8-bit computer emulator using a controller + numpad. The Atari 8-bit version of that game was the best of them all. So much fun. I miss my Atari 800. I wish Iâd kept it since it only needed two capacitors replaced (I didnât know this 30 years ago sadly as I didnât know much about electronics in-depth back then). I did at least manage to keep the Caverns of Mars cartridge so if I ever find another working Atari 800 I can at least play that. I might still have one other cartridge, either Donkey Kong Jr., Joust, or (hopefully) Star Raiders.

I swear, the only thing slower than Diablo 4âs actual patching cycle is UPS delivering packages (they donât get here until almost 8 PM - apparently weâre the last leg of their daily route).
Oh, and my MX Brio 4k camera works great. Zoom test via UCSFâs self-test page worked great. Tried to use my cell phone as a webcam and while I could get video just fine, audio wouldnât go through. Sucks too as it would have let me return the $200 webcam. Oh well, Iâm surprised just how good the picture quality is on this thing. And itâs simple enough for me to set up that I could set my grandpa up for telemed fairly easily.
Itâs snowing! Okay, itâs also 8, with a wind chill in the negative teens, but itâs snowing!
And weâre not going to get all that much, Iâm guessing, even though there are winter storm warnings on the west side of the state.
I want snowâŠI have no reason to go anywhere so some snow would be pretty. The OMG cold is not so fun though. At least it is not windy here.
Pot roast I made yesterday came out wonderful and now I have food for days. Noms.
/checks the Beverage counter and refills the coffee pots with hot fresh coffee. Puts a crock pot of beef stew and some crusty bread with butter on the snack counter
Telemed video appointment is scheduled for 1:15 PM PST. I get a text stating exactly that. Two seconds later the MyChart app says itâs time for my video appointment. Looks like someone misconfigured the serverâs time setting (or time zone). Gotta love when the app doesnât line up with the actual scheduled appointment. I really, really hate PST/DST. WTB one freaking time that we stay at forever please.
And I think Iâve been up for too long. I accidentally read that as âsome crusty socksâ. Iâll be glad when my appointment is over so I can get some rest.
I did the same thing too. And it is 7.26am. I think I might of been awake all night.
Iâve been awake for a good 30 hours now. This damned CellCept just does that to me. Thing is, the longer Iâm awake, the more fatigued my eye gets and past a certain point the eyedrops are almost ineffective and I just have to endure letting my eye do without the drops for a few hours so it can destress. I really dislike how the combination of having just one eye open most of the time + fatigue = really unpleasant vision issues. What I wouldnât give for an actual stable sleep schedule.
Probably a safe assumption youâve looked into anything you can think of, sleep studies arenât effective?
Melatonin helped me from waking up at 6am when i didnt need to wake up for another 2 hrs or more.
