Anyone else not know la cucaracha about a cockroach.

Just the people who don’t know that cucaracha is literally Spanish for cockroach.

Agreed. Many players are really committed to their characters and to be unjustly locked out must have been emotionally traumatizing. I hope they are offered some compensation for both the lost time and the anguish.

I think the cockroach is a metaphor. And I’m pretty sure the song has had verses added, removed, and changed many times over the years.

I like that the ice cream truck that drive through our neighborhood plays a lilty version of “La Cucaracha.”

Good news this morning. Mom feels fine, other than a little lower back pain, but that’s not new.

Not a bad morning so far. We’re getting a bit of snow today, but it’s supposed to be warm (at least warm for mid-January). But cold is on the horizon.

Toddles off to freshen the coffee and scrounges up some fresh doughnuts

In case anyone wondering how bad the storms were here in Sydney the other night.

And the deadly part of the storm was actually the winds.

And it’s due out in a couple months. Wow Nintendo kept this under wraps pretty well. We all knew it was Comming, just and how much?

I’m really hoping we’re not going to have to pay a $50 premium just for wired ethernet like the first Switch. I’m not sold on the idea of magnetically attached joycons either, though in my case it won’t matter as I’ll probably be using an 8BitDo controller with a DS4 style layout as offset sticks are rather painful physically since my right arm is deformed. Still nothing on whether or not the joycons are hall effect either. If they aren’t, Nintendo’s opening themselves up to yet another class action down the line. Those tiny sticks take a ton of abuse and truly do need to be hall effect to help stave off driftitis.

From what I read it’ll be sometime between May and July at the earliest. And I’m curious which Switch 1 games won’t be compatible with the Switch 2. Nintendo already knows which ones so not spilling the beans now smacks of cash grab both now (by nature of hiding the facts from buyers) and later with “remastered ports” that could likely have been client side patches since they’re almost certainly going with nVidia Tegra class hardware again. I just wish Nintendo would be forthcoming for once in their existence, because if it’s any of their first party lineup, especially the Zelda/Metroid games that aren’t compatible with the Switch 2 and they don’t let players know that ASAP, they’re going to lose a ton of goodwill as having to pony up $70 for essentially the same games to work on the Switch 2 won’t sit well with most people.

Drove for the first time today. Finally made it back to therapy. Using a cane now instead of the walker thankfully. Still have a ways to go, but at least I am progressing.

R.I.P. Bob Uecker and David Lynch. You were both great in your fields and will be missed.
