It’s more or less specific fish. Like the Catfish. Made to provide a challenge. Really you only have a few of those that you “need” to catch. If you are restoring the community center.
Getting your fishing skill up and getting the right gear will help mitigate it a lot.
Oh and the cart lady sells some of the harder fish for the bundles. I usually buy the pufferfish off of her.
I actually had an easy timem with the pufferfish. It was the ones in the cave lakes that were problematic, as those were the most frustrating ones to get at the time outside of that one fishie that you had to catch for an achievement in the southwest area of the overworld map. At least they aren’t as annoying as the final tier of fish in Final Fantasy XV.

I personally voted for the Wandering Ancient mount. Would be really nice however if Blizzard created all of the mounts for in-game.
Perhaps have the one that has the most votes be free to obtain and the others sold at vendors for gold in-game.
I’m torn between the Nerubian and the Caterpillar. Can never have too many insect/arachnid themed mounts, lol.
Those two mounts would be cool to see in-game as well. Hence the reason I believe whatever doesn’t win the voting process should be added to vendors in the game. 
Yeah the mine fish are a pain. I caught 3 of the brick fish last time I went for the ghost fish.
On my Switch copy I’ve been trying to catch a Lava Eel for the fish pond, but. That character doesn’t have much time to fish. FULL farm map.
I know several people who would disagree with that statement.
