I am amazed that Ruffle survived her trip to the Classic Forums. You were fighting a losing battle there. Minds are set in stone and some are really nasty there. I would cast a healing spell on you but alas I am a Hunter. No more bandages either.
Please tell me that you grabbed Hopdoddy while you were here. If you want burgers in Austin, in my opinion, that’s the place to go.
The only problem with Hopdoddy is when you’re done eating! (Also, their fries aren’t that great.)
I am so excited! I read the new release notes. We can transmog flower crowns year long.
Mend Pet?
All the complaints about time-gating in the game and they come to the forum and ask for time-gating on the forums. Saying it will fix things when the existing time-gating hasn’t changed anything.
The secret is - don’t take it personally. Even the “personal” attacks. If they were so sure their idea/suggestion was the best then what character someone else posted on wouldn’t matter. “I don’t want anyone to focus on how weak my idea is, so I’ll comment on the level/class/race/version of the character posting to try and discredit them.”
The one person that kept saying people that play BFA aren’t human was kind of off putting.
I do give you credit for staying calm, cool and collected. I chose to just read and not jump in.
It depends on how I feel. Usually I just call them names out loud and move to the next thread. Sometimes I’ll type something and then decide not to post it. It’s a matter of picking your battles. Just imagine the doom-and-gloomers waving their arms around like Kermit the Frog. They are a lot easier to take that way.
It would be fun if there was a metric tracked for “Number of posts deleted before posting them.”
I have a feeling my number of non-posted replies might be close to my posted replies
Sometimes just typing out a reply, knowing I’m not going to post it, can be cathartic.
Here’s a live shot:
yeah, that’s why i tend to avoid commenting there, unless i have something to say.
people in-game are generally quite nice. they throw buffs out to one another, they typically group up for those difficult quests, or to help others out with quests that require you to kill x number of mobs.
i’d make a thread in Classic with my question…but i feel it might be better not too. ._.
huh. that looks similar to the “look busy” gif one would use whenever a guild master logs into the game. xP
though i’m sure Blizz’s staff have looked like that whenever their supervisors are in the general vicinity. xP
Now I KNOW that is a deal breaker in and of itself.
OH. I have been so engulfed I posted them. Then like 30 seconds later, I go back and delete it haha.
Rented a couple movies from Redbox last night. Now I’m torn between actually watching them or playing some Classic.
I suppose I could let the rested XP build for another few hours…
that’s always a plus. i may consider taking a few days off from Classic…if i can manage that long.
keep my Paladin in Stormwind, let the rested buff build and just go forth and quest when the time comes.
he’s only lvl 22, but i’m taking my time with this, enjoying what Classic has to offer. there’s times where i feel discouraged due to quest drops, or seeing the overwhelming number of dead mobs, and feeling anxious that i’ll be hemmed in when they respawn…but there’s times where it’s smooth going, and things work out alright in the end.
I don’t know if this still works but in my days of leveling I would do a bunch of quests and then go to Stormwind and get fully rested and then turn them in and get the higher xp and it wouldn’t count against my rested time, only the kills did; Not sure if that’s still a way or not.
Well I killed 5 black widows and 2 brown recluses and one mouse today while cleaning the storage building out back.
There is a cold or something going around and I may have caught it. I want to crawl into bed right now but it’s a little too early and I don’t want to be awake at 2 am and feeling extra lousy. I’m considering risking it, though.
There should also be a metric for how many replies I didn’t get to post because Vrak or Kal or Orlyia locked the post.
Sometimes, I think they see me typing a reply and are like “ruh roh, better stop this from escalating”.
I’ve always tried to listen to my body, Usually if I’m coming down with something getting rest early on usually helps me get over it faster.
