Lipton tea is better tasting.
Well, everyone has different tastes & preferences. I grew up having to drink Lipton. I do not prefer to go back to that.

Luzianne Tea Bags is what we used here in the south the most while I was growing up, Family owned since 1902.

I prefer my tea earl grey hot with 4tblspoons of sugar or more mwa ha ha ha or if its picard show tea earl grey hot decaff.
Alright, gang, I need sweet tea guidance.
I have a 2-gallon sun tea pitcher. I use about 1.25 cups of a cane sugar/stevia blend and sixteen tea bags. I’m happy with the sweetness level, but it seems the tea flavor is lacking. Not sure if I just need to increase the number of teabags, or if I need to better tea. I’m thinking of upping it to 24 bags for the next batch (if nothing else, it’ll help me burn through the current supply so I can switch brands sooner).
Hot tea — Earl Grey, hot, with cream and two sugars. When I was stationed in Berlin, the British detachment had a food truck that would stop at our site, and I developed a taste for that (and tuna salad with a bit of spicy mustard on a kaiser roll).
Yikes, and here I was thinking my day was rough.
- We’ve recently undergone a kitchen refresh, handed down from corporate. They basically took the way we handle food between the oven and the customer, and turned it on its head. Everybody is confused, no one is happy.
- The acting store manager was a desperation re-hire and she is already telegraphing her imminent flake-out (again). All the competent kitchen staff has just graduated high school, and are leaving for college by the end of the month.
- Yesterday, the franchise reinstated their mask policy. Employees must be masked, but only while in the store. Drivers may remove their masks while on deliveries if they choose. Our most senior employee (a driver) quit as soon as he found out, claiming that the ‘obvious next step’ is employer-mandated vaccines. I’ve been slowly making my way to the exit myself, and am a little salty he beat me to the punch with his weird conspiracy theories.
Tonight, I had the chance to talk with our new general manager, and get know him better. Turns out we have quite a bit in common, and he seems like a good guy. I think he could do really well here if he can get a foothold before having his soul crushed by the people above and below him in the corporate food chain.
I always ended up feeling sorry for those types. At one restaurant I worked, the DM went out with a heart attack my last weekend before I was scheduled to leave the company. The DM that picked up that store (they split the district up) called practically begging me to stay. But I’d already stayed three weeks over my original plan (I’m super glad my new employer was understanding) so I couldn’t. He was such a nice guy; not a great DM, but he did okay enough with the stores he had, and was likeable enough.
I just saw a research study on how shows like the American version of Hell’s Kitchen “romanticize” aggressive chefs and aggressive behavior in the kitchen. I just don’t get it - I’ve always enjoyed working in a kitchen where people are enjoying themselves, aren’t over-worked, and are generally happier. I’m sure it’s a lot tougher right now, with the lack of workforce and so much instability in general, but if they can weather this, they’ll do alright.

I’ve always used Luzianne brand tea, It’s seep-ability seems to surpass all others out there; Heck I remember in our poorer days as a youth Mama would take the bags out and put them in a container in the fridge and make another batch out of the same bags… Great Tea!

Good quality Assam loose leaf tea is better tasting than tea bags.
I don’t actually like citrus in my tea, so seldom drink Earl Grey.
The brits and French didn’t ever come near McNair Barracks when I was there , but it is even money they used P&G Tips if they used tea bags. It’s the most popular brand in the UK and is actually superior to any US brand I’ve tried, although I do use loose leaf at home we take a box of P&G Tips with us when we travel to use in hotels.
I miss the fish & chips the way they do it in England, from Berlin my memories tend toward currywurst and Schültheiss/Berliner Kindl, or on a hot day Berliner Weisse Grüne.
Got bored last night and decided to watch Macbeth on HBO… Cinematography was really nice but dialogue was properly hard to follow. But I started it and decided I’d stick with it.
Then HBO crashed about an hour in and I decided that was a sign to stop.
The curse lives on.

I’m kinda stoked. Got selected for a rated team in game. The goal is to get 1500+ rating before the end of the season and maybe get the seasonal mount. I missed the spider one by 20%

I’ve heard that speech done in so many ways, wistfully, angrily, sadly, and of course sometimes badly.
When I was 13 we had “The Complete Works of Shakespeare” in the house, I couldn’t ever get through the sonnets but read all the plays.
The language was a bit off-putting at first but once you get used to it they are great reads. I don’t know how much I would have enjoyed watching them acted later if I didn’t already know the story and understand the language. It’s like opera, I’ve learned to never go see one without reading the libretto (in English) first.
I enjoyed Hamlet and Macbeth but as a 13 year old the comedies and lighter stuff like Twelfth Night were, and are, my favorites.
Yea, Macbeth is just one I haven’t read yet. I enjoy them, and I really enjoy modern interpretations. I didn’t know what this version was going to be until I started it and realized I was going to be lost lol
