Neat!
There was a Romeo and Juliet movie done in 1996 that had two nice surprises.
One was sort of an inside joke I think, in Shakespeareās era the rapier had almost completely replaced the long sword but some old-fashioned men still insisted the long sword was better.
In original play the elder patriarch of the family has a line where he calls for his longsword. In the 1996 movie all the young men have been armed with semi-automatic pistols and when he calls for the longsword, heās handed a traditional Sicilian shotgun.
The other surprise was finding out, much to my surprise, that Leonardo DiCaprio actually can act; having only ever seen him āTitanicā up to that point.
It was also in 1996 that Ben Kingsley did the best version of the jester in Twelfth Night that Iāve ever seen, the movie wasnāt bad overall but other than his character not the best attempt ever either.
I got the Dungeons & Dragons cookbook earlier this year. Havenāt done much with it yet, other than leaf through it a bit.
Might have to look at this one, too.
I had purchased, a very very long time ago, the Dragonlance book Leaves of the Inn of the Last Home, which contained a bunch of source material, including cooking recipes from the Dragonlance series.
My favorite was Otikās Spiced Fried Potatoes, which were really simple, but so very tasty.
Thatās the main reason I got the cookbook, because I thought Iād lost my copy of Leaves of the Inn of the Last Home, and wanted that recipe on-hand. Of course, I found Leaves soon after I got the other cookbookā¦
The Dungeons & Dragons cookbook has changed up the recipe - originally, the only seasoning was Cayenne (and salted to taste when serving), but the new version uses black pepper, sweet paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, and some fresh chives.
Looks like island expiditions will be soloble in 9.1.5
Oh, I like the sound of that.
Well thenā¦
Otikās Spiced Potatoes
2 Tbsp neutral oil (vegetable, canola, etc)
1 Large yellow onion, chopped
Kosher salt
1 1/2 lbs Yukon gold potatoes, scrubbed, quartered lengthwise and cut into 3/4 inch pieces
1 Tbsp butter
Black Pepper
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp minced fresh chivesIn a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm 1 Tbsp of oil until shimmering. Add the onion and 1/2 tsp salt and cook, stirring, until softened (about 4 minutes). Adjust the heat to medium and continue cooking, stirring often, until deep golden and some pieces are starting to brown at the edges, 4-6 minutes more. Scrape the onion onto a plate and wipe out the skillet.
Meanwhile, put the potatoes in a large microwave safe bowl, cover, and microwave until the edges of the potatoes begin to soften, 5-7 minutes, shaking the bowl to redistribute the potatoes midway through.
Warm the remaining 1 Tbsp oil and the butter in the (now empty) skillet over medium-high heat, swirling the pan to combine. Add the potatoes (leaving behind any liquid accumulated in the bowl) and shake the skillet to coat the potatoes with the fat and evenly distribute them in a single layer, making sure that one side of each piece lies flat on the cooking surface. Cook, undisturbed, until golden brown on the bottom, 6-7 minutes. Using a wide spatula, carefully turn the potatoes, taking care not to rip their crusts, and again spread them in a single layer with the unbrowned sides down. Continue cooking, undisturbed, until golden brown on the bottom, about 6 minutes more. Repeat twice more, until they are tender and well browned all over, 6-12 minutes more. Add 1/2 tsp salt, pepper to taste, the paprika, cayenne, and garlic powder and stir or toss to distribute the seasoning. Add the onion and stir or toss to distribute. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, sprinkling each serving with the chives.

Okay, that had to be the funniest thing I have seen in game for a while.
One of my DK alts was on Isle of Thunder awaiting a Nalak spawn. On her way in, she saw Goda was up and deathgripped him over to her. Before she could attack, he walked back to his tree and hid inside it. Not just standing at his normal spawn point of the entrance though, but he went in the tree and tried to hide behind part of the trunk. Guess he thought that if he couldnāt see me, I couldnāt see him. That one made me laugh IRL.
wasnāt he also in Gilbert Grape, or am i thinking of Johnny Depp?
noice!
Goda: uh Kyz? i canāt come fight you, cause iām at the office and theyāre making me stay late. .-.
Kyz: Godaā¦i can SEE you hiding inside the tree. <_<
Goda: ā¦ hides behind part of the trunk can you see me now?
Kyz: noā¦
Goda: ok, NOW iām at the office.
That was good!! Thanks for the laugh!
