At least we’ve got good old Grits down here in the south and sweet tea in the restaurants, I tried finding that up north to no avail but my local Buffalo Wild Wings has some good Cheese Curds however not near as good as the Curds I had in Wisconsin.
Here’s an article I read about a port in Ningbo China that they are saying may cause some Christmas presents to be delayed receiving before Christmas, I wonder if the PS5’s are in some of these containers.
Note: I verified this through my wife (That I’m separated with who used to work at this port and also her brother that used to work there and still lives close to the port.)
A lot of those places use sweetened corn syrup to sweeten tea and just like you I say “Yuck” however you can’t beat good old “True Southern Tea, Freshly Made” sweetened with pure cane sugar.
We do have grits here, at least in the city at real (not chain) diners, and buffalo wings were invented near here, but if you’re from the south, or have lived in the south, or simply have good taste, never ever order iced tea from any place around here.
Husband: walks into the house boy, it sure is muggy outside!
Wife: …i swear if all the mugs are out there on the lawn, i’m going to hurt you. <.<
Husband: takes a sip of coffee from a cereal bowl
Last section was the tallest and thickest (as the leach field for the septic tank is in that area). Took me 4 hours just to cut through that section. Poor mower choked down so many times.
All in all, took me 3 days and almost 9 hours to get it all done. I do not want to do that with a push mower ever again. I feel same as Sgt. Murtaugh about it, lol.

As far as sweet tea goes, around here it is only Luzianne and is sweetened with 1 cup of sugar per gallon. Over the years I have reduced how much sugar I use. That 1 cup is as low as I can stand to go. Hubby uses sweetener instead for his since he needs to watch his sugar intake.
Also I do not adulterate my tea with lemons … that is a sacrilege, lol.
Grits are a great breakfast (or breakfast dinner) food. Love having them with ham and redeye gravy or just with sunnyside up eggs mixed in to them.
It is. Because the extended work day is almost over.
A no call no show. Somebody went home sick…
All 3 kitchen managers and the department head in there. Itnwas litwrally as expensive as payroll cpuld be for the day at thia period in the work week. Only way it could be more if this were OT days
And the plumbing backed up so we could not use the diah machine. I have breakfast dishes still in the sink
Luckily roto rooter got out here and we up and running again
Same situation as yesterday. Cook called in. Aid called in.
Texted and called for help and got no response. Cooked for 140 people, served 100 of them, cleaned up, cooked for 140 again for lunch, did pots and pans, and served 100. Then dishes
Luckily my good kitchen manager called. He came in early to help. Other one that i called and texted tried to lecture me that i need to keep calling if she doesnt answer.
I asked her name one other person that would habe done what I did without pitching an absolute fit. She said she would. My response was i guess we will never know huh?
Then she started on a tirade of this amd this amd this still need to be done. My next response was so do the dishes I cooked breakfast amd lunch in and yet here we are huh? She asked why i had a bad attitude so i asked her if she was listening to anything that happened today amd is it not just a little understandable that MY NERVES ARE FRIED AND I AM OPERATING ON PURE INSTINCT AT THIS POINT.
Other manager told her to go away before I walk out. Wise man
