[CS Lounge] Is it dangerous to go alone into the Shadowlands?

Alvie has info on that.

I followed that one season. My co-worker watched it while we worked third shift, and I kind of got hooked. Not enough to watch any other seasons, but I’d say it wasn’t too bad.

Dinner’s in the oven - it’s a red chile glazed meatloaf from Bobby Flay. Hopefully, it’ll be delicious. Well, I can’t imagine it not being delicious, but…

Oooo… me too!

Grats, Reg!

As an update for the past few days, we did finally make the chicken. Mast’s cream of mushroom idea was used, though I didn’t realize the inordinate amount of chicken we’d ordered until the time came. So we bolstered it with corn, per my roommate/surrogate brother’s idea.

Apart from that, we also made a budget charcuterie board with sparkling grape juice, since neither of us drink. It was an amazing board, and I now have a craving for asiago cheese while my brother likes Gouda. We both adore goat cheese.

This sums it up. As long as individuals like this are allowed to continue their divisiveness in a place we find sacred, I want no part of this. The blues here can have those individual(s) as they don’t seem to mind offensive emotes (and names), antagonistic commentaries, and sock-puppeting. All of these characteristics do not permit a safe space for regulars. It’s the blues sandbox and they can do what they want.

I don’t like what this forum has become this year, especially with my posts being deleted (looking back in May for little reason). I’m sure you don’t know what I’m talking about.

I’ve created characters on numerous realms to reach out to most of you. I will be spending the evening reaching out to others on their posting characters here. If I don’t get a reply, I will respect your privacy (I apologize if reaching out to you bothers you). If you want to reach out and continue any conversations, I’ll work with you to share personal contact information. I welcome any conversation, you can find me on my other Aik (KM). There are some that I will report you for harassment if you reach out.

You may see email from a version of Aik in your mailbox. I welcome and appreciate each of your friendships that we developed over the years. I still want to continue that friendship, but the shift on these forums has not been entirely productive as some of you have witnessed. We’ve lost many good posters here. I thought I could handle it but alas.

I wish everyone well (I’m sorry Misbecky if I creeped you out, not my intent. I have become overly frustrated by increasingly offensive permissive behavior).

In my heart, I would like to continue our friendships.

This final comment does not apply to everyone (and will probably get deleted shortly)… It’s not me, it’s you.

Aik, signing off.

Have a better day.

i’m not big on candy or chocolate, so once in a while i’ll get a chocolate bar, and it’ll last me quite a while. i’ve still got a Hershey Reese Pieces Bar in the fridge, and a bag of Reese Thins (white chocolate) that i’m pretty big on. the bar? its okay. i’ll break a piece off once in a while and enjoy it. cures my chocolate fix for the day at least. xP

A shame to see you go but I totally understand. I’ve been pretty absent here as it just doesn’t feel the same. I know I’m ‘new’ compared to most here but I have lurked for many, many years.

I hope you find a new place to hang out and great new people to chat with.

The first time I tried goat cheese, it was terrible.

For years I didn’t eat goat cheese.

Then one day when contemplating the choices in a cheese shop I reasoned that with the variety of cheeses made from cow’s milk (Cheddar, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Munster, Guda, and Stiltion all from the same source) as well as the variety from sheep’s milk, (Pecorino Romano, Cashel Blue, Roquefort, and Feta …) there had to be goat cheeses that I would like. Turns out there certainly were.

I used to be the same way with goat cheese.

Then my sister convinced me to try a goat cheese with blueberry compote on crackers. I thought it sounded weird, and frankly gross, but it’s delicious!

Some chucklehead made a claim that store bought fried chicken was superior to homemade. Down here below the dixie line, that there is “fightin’ words”. You could hear the wail of every southern grandma and mom when I read that.

My grandma’s rolling in her grave, that’s for sure. She was from Southern Illinois, but still had that Southern drawl and cooking style.

Man, I miss her cooking. And as far as I know, she didn’t have any recipes. At least, I never saw any.

And as for cheese, I miss being back home. I grew up about 45 minutes from a place well known (at least in Michigan) for cheese. And pickles. Delicious colby, from mild to super sharp. And “Squeaky” cheese. And it does live up to the name.

Store bought fried chicken is universally mediocre, but home-made chicken covers a wide range depending on who’s home.
Perhaps the person who posted was capable of producing home fried chicken of a lower quality than the store-bought stuff.

I resemble that second statement, lol.

If I’m the one cooking the chicken you’re likely better off with the store bought. That’s why my job in the kitchen is usually to make the sides. I make great sides :joy:
