[CS Lounge] I will roll, roll through the gates of Torghast

Today was the day to pickup the kids’ items from school. Hadn’t seen some of the teachers since March and it was good to be able to see them! I did a lot of volunteering prior to their closure due to covid, so I really have been missing everyone.

So today we put some signs on our car (that we love and miss them) as we drove up to pickup items. Their smiles were totally worth it!

Now to survive summer with no camps running. Kids will have been home almost 6 months :astonished: and we’re going a little

Lines like that don’t exactly convince me of the wisdom of having kids. :stuck_out_tongue:

I just found out that 36 years ago when we bought our house, my husband put a rider on the policy covering my ring. He just filed a claim. I will be able to get a replacement. It won’t be the same but it’s a bright spot in my day! :ring:

just a bad pun

a truck loaded with thousands of copies of Roget’s Thesaurus crashed yesterday, loosing its entire load. Witness were stunned, startled, aghast, taken aback, stupified, confused, shocked, rattled, paralyses, dazed, bewildered, mixed up, surprised, awed, dumbfounded, nonplussed, flabbergasted, astounded, amazed, confounded, astonished, overwhelmed, horrified, numbed, speechless and perplexed.

that’s great to hear! /hugs

Please be careful with riders… especially as they relate to rings.

Not sure I want to follow the riders, but better behind than ahead.

I haven’t been working on my WOW Classic horde as much. Playing plenty, though, just been more active in a guild I’m in on another realm as Alliance. Which has included a fair bit of tanking or healing Deadmines, but also a parade and a guild meeting. (Not RP realm, though I did RP on a Horde character on Bloodsail a couple weeks ago.)

Thought you all would appreciate this:

That man deserves a huge fat steak dinner for this. And then another one and another and perhaps a massage and then another steak dinner.

I volunteer as tribute to ensure your massage technique and steak cooking skills are world class. You want to get this right after all, don’t you? Ehhhhh!!!

Can I have a huge fat steak dinner as well?

He cooks the steaks. I let him pick them out because he is picky. I made a pot of clam chowder for him yesterday because that is one of his favorites. (until his gout flares from it). Are you volunteering to make a trip to Detroit? It’s going to be nasty hot and humid tomorrow cause of that tropical storm that floated up but the next few days will be 78 and low humidity. Perfect weather.

i had an encore from last night. those chicken burgers are amazingly good, especially with roasted garlic aioli mayo. though now i need to pick up some more tomorrow. .-.

I have done less for a great steak and massage.

No innuendo’s people sheesh. I would kill for a great massage right about now if I am being perfectly honest. I can handle the steak part myself haha.

In other news I have a beautiful roast in the oven right now. House smells divine. Some zucchini and onion saute in enough butter to give you a heart attack going, and some garlic cheddar smash potato are in the works as well. Little minced garlic, some cheddar cheese folded in. And then I will make a pan gravy out of the roast drippings. Man I am hungry.

Ya know Belguilos, I like the cut of your jib. You can have a huge fat steak dinner as well muh dude.

This is making me think of the book that I’m reading right now, Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett. At one point, the wizards try to …um… stop one of their own who came back from the dead as a zombie by driving a stake into his heart.

However, they had to make due with celery instead. The Bursar couldn’t find any beef.

NOM.

I hear ya! Today we hit 32C (89.6f), but we should be getting some rain tonight and tomorrow which is going to bring temps down thankfully!

We are at 85F

We went for a swim this morning before the heat really picked up. But it isn’t supposed to cool until the middle of the night unfortunately :frowning:
