[CS LOUNGE] Country roads, take me home

One of my best friends ran a Old Heidelberg 4 Color Printing Press for the Wilmington N.C. Star News, printing the advertisements for their customers. He was telling me that the Heidelberg was a workhorse state of the art born long before others, The best in his opinion.

I do so hope that you have a very enjoyable pleasant vacation.

Happy Birthday Perl!

Italy, I went to Milan once for work training and didn’t get to see much but what I did see and the stories told to me about the country makes me want to go back so that I can really experience it.

Japan, because if it wasn’t already obvious, I’m kind of a weeb.

I remember going there in the 80’s and the fires were actually burning the dry moss just on the ground level (Actually more smoldering then open flames) and it lasted a month or so, luckily it wasn’t near where we were staying in Vero Beach however we did have to drive through it coming and going, It was terrible.

Well I got the ribeyes and the recipe for Outbacks Steak Spice, Zucchini, Yellow Crookneck Squash, Portabella Mushrooms & Shrimp skewers marinated in a soy, garlic type sauce & Texas Toast for Memorial Day Cookout. Still got to put that new grill together tomorrow but will be ready for memorial day.

Anyone else care to share what they plan to cook on Memorial Day?

With a forecasted temperature of 100°F, whatever we cook will be done inside and will most likely be a very light type of meal.

With that heat in the area that you live with the humidity I would do the same thing. Here they’re calling for it to get up to 94 degrees Fahrenheit and partly cloudy but the humidity is only going to be 45 to 50%, It will be fine especially in the shade under that huge 4 to 500 year old Oak tree we have in the back yard.

I hope that you have an enjoyable day with whatever you do!

When my best friend was alive we would do that on an uninhabited island named Hutaff Island north of Figure Eight Island which has many homes from the rich and famous on it, We would carry a 4’ X 8’ piece of plywood as the table, throw all the stuff in the pot like you described along with some Louisiana Crab Boil spice packs (Don’t forget the Corn on the cob and the Kielbasa Sausage) boil it up and dump it all on that plywood and chow down, Sure does bring back memories.

I hope that ya’ll have a Great day of it, And please do share some pictures!

Whelp. Break from the weather until Tuesday or so. River will hopefully have time to lower. But it is humid. Like really nasty humid.

We have one of the premier water dispersal systems in the world. It was not even the rain in my area that was the issue perse

Part of the dispersal is a series of lakes and dams. When the lake takes on water like this, the dispersal of that water is controlled by The Army Corps of Engineers.

Catastrophic for those along the river here is 307 cubic feet of water per second. The release rate got. To 250 so the river swelled and those right along the banks were affected.

That is not to say there was not flooding inland though. There was so much water dumped the ground could not absorb it in areas and it did get bad. Just not in town. This was I believe more country areas.

I just want. To take a nap in our walk on sok I can stop sweating.

Naw. Walk in is set to 33. The constant open g of the door plus my body temp means it would be fine lol.

And it’s another wonderful day here in Michigan. It is warm for a change but my bbq is off. Going to plan B, pizza. Rain and more rain. At least we got the soggy grass cut. Hopefully I can get the flank steak cooked tomorrow. Still have the nacho bar on tap for Monday.:taco::burrito:
