My car lease is up. We went to the dealer. No cars. (the kind we drive anyways) Our salesman said he can’t get anything. Our choice is to extend the lease for 6 months and see if the car supply recovers or buy it out. If the market is as empty in 6 months we would have paid on the lease and still not have a car to get. Looks like we are buying it out. It is a nice car.

One of our local dealers here keep sending us letters asking if we would be willing to trade our car in for a newer model. Evidently they are having a hard time getting used cars.
We have a 2017 Nissan Versa with only 35k miles on it. It is still in great condition and we see no reason to trade it in at this time.

Ours is 2 years old and has 12,000 miles on it. The dealer really wanted it. GMC Terrain. A winter car as my son calls it. The same kid who traded in a 5 year old Sonic with 7000 miles on it for a winter car. The dealer was drooling when he brought that car in.

My boss husbamd traded in his decked out Charger for $1000 more than he purchased it for 2 years ago.
This is a bubble that will burst but it might be worth looking into. Told the ex she shluld consider trading her 2013 as it is on the lower cusp of the bubble.

All dealerships here have the same problem. No cars. This is Detroit for heavens sake. You’d think a car would be easy to find.

Cold day, colder evening. Scattered showers, if you can call it that. More of a really heavy mist. Have Boogy with me for a few hours before I take him back home. Decided that I do not feel like cooking, so we ordered Chinese.

Over a Sonic? That just doesn’t add up. I didn’t think the Sonic was all that spectacular. But five years old and 7,000 miles? Maybe.
My buddy traded in a 2015 Cherokee with well over 150,000 miles on it and got a great deal on a slightly newer Lincoln MKX (maybe?). I’m pretty sure the dealer got the short end of that trade-in.
Do they even make any cars in Detroit anymore?
So I had a “plan” today to play another game while WOW was in maintenance. But did I get any kind of chance? Oh, no. We had about six hours of backlog from yesterday that I needed to clear before I could even start the stuff that came today. It’ll probably be the same thing tomorrow, too. I’m not looking forward to the next few weeks.
And a dilemma: I got an order today of a couple fleece pullovers. Only one of the pullovers became a down jacket. I don’t really need another coat, but it looks pretty nice and should be nice and warm (ya know, down and all). I checked the website, and the coat is about 50% more expensive than the fleece, which is now out of stock. I’m really tempted to keep it, despite not really needing it.

Dealers are hurting. Ports are understaffed and the old car manufacturers sent their labor to other countries decades ago.
On top of that. Tesla has gained a LOT of public attention. So most of the damand is for Tesla vehicles. For now.

Nah my work schedule doesnt leave me much time to call best times for me to call are sunday/mon morningill get one eventualy its just stupid had i called a hour earlier i probably wouldve had one lol.
