Of course - but it’s why you investigate. We generally check forums, ping our live teams, etc whenever we get a unique complaint. The timeline means a cursory investigation would have yielded this thread.
Regardless, too many factors should have showcased that “being confused” was not the issue. (And even if it was, you don’t SAY that.)
It isn’t really a unique complaint though, Arysa. Folks misplace characters all the time, they stop playing for a little while and when they come back they misremember character level and progress. There wasn’t an indication to think that this was anything different based on what the GM could see at the time.
I’m glad you are in a situation where you can check all sources of information for every contact but that isn’t always feasible.
Regardless, this is remaining fairly off top so let’s steer it back.

Yes, as I said this is remaining off track and in my last response I encouraged steering it back to the reason this thread was created. You continued the discussion, I read it and then removed it so that this thread can, as I said, get back on track.
I have submitted two tickets over this and they were both deleted no where to be found didn’t get a response anything. Any answers on this?
I only see one ticket, Disguy, but it was not deleted or otherwise abandoned. It is currently in queue.

After you tell them about the problem and click continue you are taken to a screen with a button “I still need help” at the bottom. Click this button. Then choose “Account” and choose the “Not Listed Here” option. It will take you to a screen with “Still need help?” and a contact us button. Press that button. That is the final place to SUBMIT the ticket. Just review what you wrote. Be a specific as possible with characters affected, levels, gear missing, etc. and submit the issue.
The theory my group of friends who were affected have come up with (THEORY, not fact and just bouncing ideas off each other) is that these characters are reverting back to a time the servers were merged before. The affected characters seem to be at a “snapshot” point in time (most likely the last time Khadgar was merged with another server or at a point when a expansion was updated). We are hopeful that the higher level support teams will be able to pinpoint the time when the issue happened and just repeat the merge with the correct info, but who knows. I just would like to play my characters without worry. I main my priest each expansion and I am currently unable to do so cause Joile was downleveled to 90 and put back in I think WoD gear (I won’t log into them cause I don’t want to make it worse lol).
Callyberrie I 100% agree with you.
The three toons I had delvled or brought back from a race change were the only 3 I had in Cata. All three are decked out in Cata raid or dungeon gear. All other toons I have had were made in WoD/Legion.
I second this. I feel bad for everyone having issues, but I have to admit I am absolutely fascinated by pondering what could possibly be the cause.
If I had to guess this seems about right, Khadgar was copied onto Alleria in the first round so that would also explain why its only Khadgar affected.
You’re probably onto something, it’s possible my account has reverted some of the characters to exactly where they were when Khadgar & Alleria merged.

I don’t have any specific updates, but I wanted to let everyone know we have put out a Breaking News so that folks know that we are aware and it is being worked on.
We are aware of an issue affecting some characters on Khadgar that are missing or have lost progress.
We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible!
Thanks for your help Vrakthris. This is understandably frustrating and hopefully gets fixed soon.
If you guys can’t fix this, you better boost all my dudes back to 120 and hand over some free game time, or preferably a bunch of tokens so i can reclaim my lost gold, too.
If we can fix this, Glory, and there isn’t any reason to think that we cannot, the characters will revert back to what they were so there wouldn’t be any need for a boost, etc… because they’ll be back to 120.
Thank you for the confident stance. The ticket responses I was given did not indicate that this would definitely be fixable.

Hopefully they will be able to further investigate things and, if an issue is confirmed, they can also give an update via some future hotfix or patch notes.
He talks about ‘locating issues’ and “if an issue is confirmed” like he’s not sure about whether there’s even a problem, or whether a fix is possible.
I appreciate you framing the matter more definitely.
