I was logged in and fine from about 9:30-10:30 CDT but my game just broke again - getting character not found

maybe the update will be well. wow is not working atm we are fixing it but no eta. at the mean time we have lots of other games that your account doesn’t have so go buy those game now while you wait.
As a new player and having my character “not found” on the second day, instantly makes me regret choosing to play this game

I have had this issue since pre-patch… even tried deleting cache. Nothing works… losing faith in blizzard by the day honestly

This is just awesome. I have 2 accounts. On one, all my characters are “character not found” status. So I log into the 2nd account and everything loads up just fine. I can log in without issue. Retry the first account, realm list takes forever, character not found. So this is not a realm related issue. This is absolutely a per-account issue.

Same here the old ones have attempted the Oblivion spell of many champions and villain’s of Azeroth! Character not found for my toons as well.

The same thing happened last night around the same time, so I doubt it’s an accident this time…you guys should have just said the game would be unavailable for play around 8 pm pst instead of 7 am.

Character Not Found. I have gotten in a couple times. Works great for a few mins then spells, action and other things start breaking and not working .
It won’t happen, there are too many people that would want it. I just pray they do indeed take the time to make the expansion more polished as this is just a patch so the bugs would be less imo.
I am having this same problem. Frustrating for sure.

It’s possible the character enumeration or listing service is failing. That explains some of these specific problems. I recently changed what my character looks like using the Barber. Perhaps that has something to do with it. Anyone else having this problem not use the new barber system?
I was planning on finishing leveling some toons before my sub ran out, logged on to do so, but all my toons are gone. Hopefully this gets solved soon. Thanks

No, I said they are working on an update that would be going in shortly and we should hopefully see an improvement in around 30 minutes. The update is on our side, so it isn’t something you’d see outside of hopefully seeing the issue resolved.
Obviously folks are still having trouble. I’m not sure if the resolution is still cycling through the servers to be picked up, or more needs to be done. I haven’t seen any additional updates stating one way or another yet.
