Same problem for me here. I can log in after a few minutes which then brings me to the realm list but none of the realms where I have toons on show them. And when I click on a realm everything is greyed out. No option to make a new character.
Same thing happening on all toons.

It took awhile, but I just kept trying-- I was in a BG when I DC’d and I logged back in only to be in org and fell to my death. Pretty satisfying.

Same. 2 days not able to login to any toons. I even tried to create a toon but only get Creation timed out messages.
The equivalent of saying yup we know its raining outside real neat…
the lack of communication from blizzard is saddening and like i said i put in a ticket for this light night when it was happened and was pretty much called a liar and ignore from a gm 
here we are paying money and we arent even going to get compinsated for the days we dont even get to play

Same issue here, says character not found on every single character… My addons finally work and i can log in but can’t play.
Second night in a row of this. Will I get my characters back?

I’m just as annoyed as everyone else, but thanks for the updates. Last night, too. As much as some of us might feel like we’d like to grab a dev and really let em know what we think of their work and response on this pre-patch, I think that if we all stopped to think about it, we’d realize that you don’t have anything to do with this situation. At all. You’re just keeping us as informed as can be expected, for which I’m sure we’re all very appreciative. Or would be if we all stopped to give this any measure of thought at all.
That being said… WHY CAN’T I CHANGE MY FORUM CHARACTER? I FACTION-SWAPPED THIS CHARACTER WEEKS AGO. RAAAAAGE.
Same I have 2 accounts and none of my characters are showing on any realm. I deleted cache and and restarted app that didn’t change anything either, repaired game nothing! There is no option to open ticket for this reason either WTF?

This is pure Ballox and i cant believe i had to push a cow up a hill in the snow in a blizzard while chasing a goose to earn money to pay for this game!
…kidding, but if it makes it to T& E i can always hope that this comment makes their $hit show section…this issue will eventually get resolved, just annoying to lose the game time when BFA is always a chore list and i have more then 4 level 50s at this point with chores to do =(
The updates are appreciated. Please, don’t feel ‘chased off’ by the pitchforks and sconces on display in this thread. It’s important for people to vent their grievances respectfully, but also that you, representing the company, don’t feel cornered in the process.

I’m watching this surprised how people are reacting to the situation. It’s a pre-expansion patch. They release this early so that these issues won’t happen expansion day. Yes I pay a monthly fee to play the game but I also understand there may be issues. This is 2 days and I can’t tell you when the last time was I had an issue logging on…it hasn’t since I came after the start of BFA. This is not the end of the world and I’m not going to take it out on the employees. Great job Blizz and employees for making a great game and keeping the service up as much as you do! I’ve tried many other mmorpg games and keep coming back. I’m rolling at so many messages blaming the employees, taking it out on them, and the asking for a supervisor had me on the floor. It is entertaining, almost more than the game itself.

Please stop making new xpacs for this game so my friends can all play a game that works. This is not the first time this has happened and your “teams” are garbo. I want to compensated for the days i cannot play and the time I’ve wasted attempting to do so.
all my characters are gone and cant create new ones. Cmon Blizz why you gotta be so cruel

I am having the same issue. All my characters are not found on any of my realms. I was playing fine all day…stopped for an hour or so and nothing was there. I updated my graphics card and still nothing.
they are there but for what ever reason the realm list is not showing them, you have to manually log in to the realm and wait a bit and it will load them up for you. hope this helps.
I believe restarts are specifically for other updates for bugs, etc… Possible resolutions for this issue can be applied to the live realms to cycle in.
