To be clear, Blleeleleeas. I’m not here simply to monitor this thread and I wasn’t put here to do so. Support Forum Agents, like myself, monitor the Customer Support forum. We provide what advice we can on a myriad of support related topics that folks come here for.
A job engaging with the community isn’t for everyone, you have to have patience and frankly, enjoying what you do makes a huge difference. Thank you for your advice, but I like nothing more than to help my fellow players out as best as I can in this role. I’ve been doing it for a very long time now.
Just adding my ‘me too’ to this. I found one of ‘my’ realms but it has no characters on it (I know they must be there but it isn’t showing them). My other servers aren’t showing at all and even sorting by characters returns none at all.
Some of the replies are a bit dramatic but downplaying the issue isn’t fair either. I’ve played WoW since right before BC launched and this is not normal behavior for expansion launches in my experience.
I remember plenty of lag, a few DCs, and some extended planned maintenance but nothing that broke the game for hours on end like this.
Character not found!!! No characters even listed on realm list, had to pick my realm, took forever to load - black screen - then when I try to load my characters - CHARACTERS NOT FOUND!!! Even went to try and create a new character, just to see what would happen, and it won’t even let me do that! Keeps saying the process has timed out. ???
Alright so I found something weird that could help the devs solve the issue. I found a pet ingame and whenever I try to ‘learn’ that pet I get disconnected. Hapenned to me three times in a row already. Maybe there is some issue related to some accounts and some items or something too?
What a weird take. You must feel validated coming on here posting to a real person on the other side telling them to quit their job. It’s obvious they enjoy what they do. If they didn’t they wouldn’t be here. Perhaps keep some opinions to yourself.
“Character Not Found” yesterday. After about 4-5 hours, it cleared up and I could log in fine. I only stayed on for about 30 minutes or so to work on addons, as I was just not feeling it. I gave the game 24 hours to work out some kinks. Come back on now. “Character Not Found” yet again. I go look to the forums. Yup, started again about an hour ago. Yay.

Having the same issue here. After only getting a black screen at character select (after realm select wasn’t showing any character count) I ripped my wtf, cache, interface and cursebreaker folders out of the game. Didn’t see any difference at this point, only a black character select screen. After walking away in frustration, I came back to all of my characters loaded in, but all of them are giving me the “character not found” issue that started approximately 1 hour after the servers came up last night.
