Character items/armor missing after relog

Hello, I logged into the game on my rogue, Shelane-MoonGuard, inside the Legion Rogue Class Hall. Everything was fine with her; fully geared, everything in place. I logged out of that toon, then logged right back in on that toon, and all of her gear was gone, plus the bags on her tool tip. I have been trying to create a ticket, but it keeps going in loops of go here and go there. She has lost: Armor and Bags.

Same issue, I had mailed my self something did you as well?

I checked and Items cannot be restored using the item restoration page. either.
edit mailing to self doesn’t seem to be the direct cause but logging in and then out and then back in does repeat.

I have repeated this bug 2 additional times after the initial instance logging in-out-in on another char-out- and in definately triggers it.

You still have the items which are their but invisible and you can’t interact with them.

It’s an old rare bug that seems to be happening more frequently.
Send a ticket in, the GM’s are able to restore the visibility item by item.

I have tried several times to send in a ticket, but it will direct me to the forums and not the actual ticket write-up. Like a continues loop. I’ve gone through steps such as: It’s something else after going through the cycle of the options for: Crash, Stuck, and remove the WTF Folder. She’s still without armor and bags. Someone asked earlier if I had tried to mail something. The only thing I did was log in, then out, then right back and the bug stripped her right there.

Thank you all for the responses. I know the company has a lot on their plate. I’ll just have to be patient.

check your ticket response to see if there’s a link around the bottom with words to the effect of “This didn’t fix my problem”.

If there is, you can click it to resubmit the ticket to a higher priority queue for a person to look at it.
If there isn’t, open a new ticket and reference the original ticket number and tell the the recommendations didn’t work. Once triaged, the new ticket would be sent to a higher priority queue as well.

As Nobully noted, these issues have a habit of just going away and fixing themselves sometimes.

Just figured I would chime in. Had this happen on multiple characters today. Found a resolution that works on my end. It’s similar to one of the recommended fixes of getting a bag and equipping it to your bag bar.

Difference in my case is that it wouldn’t work with a bag from a vendor. I HAD to buy a bag off the auction house, and when it mails it to me, just take it from the mail, it’ll go to the empty bag slot. Log off and back in and in my case it worked 100% of the time to restore everything in my bags,bank, and gear slots. In my case it seemed to be a combination of mail and bag that fixes it.

Maybe it’ll work for you too.

Thanks. I seen a post from Jan 2022 on here and it said same thing but left out that the bag needed to be BOE and not one from a vendor or the new regent bag. (Storm-Battered Reagent Bag)

It worked on both my toons and my journey in this thread.

This has happened to two of my characters now, all of their gear and bags are missing after 2nd time logging in.

My 60 hunter and 51 monk are now wearing no gear and everything is gone and no mail is there.

This was the method I had to use as well. Bag from AH seemingly required, did not have to be BoE.

OK, I have an update. I was going to try the trick as Blackvelvet suggested, and lo and behold, everything is restored when I logged in. I didn’t have to equip a bag. Thank you all for the help!

this literally just happened to me on my moonguard character

Buying a bag from the AH and getting it out of them and then logging out and back in worked. Yay for database bugs…
