This has now happened to me on two different characters this afternoon.

I log into character, all is fine, I log out, and then back in and character is naked with all bags gone, and a flurry of achievement notices flash in the log like the character is new, but they retained their levels.

On the first I did log into another character briefly then back the the first. On the second I logged out and then immediately logged back in and the same thing happened, naked, no items, all bags gone, flash of achievements.

This has happened to me too tonight! I logged on to check a character and then I logged out. I had forgotten to check my mail so I logged back in and poof, all my bags are gone, all my gear is gone, and my toon was standing there naked! This is a pretty confusing experience.

This has happened to me as well on two Alts.

Isin - Durotan
Imn - Durotan

Both stripped naked. But gold is left. Not a hack as some suggest.

I am leveling in prep for Dragonflight. Having done so on several Alts so far this week. I logged Imn my Durotan Server based Paladin. Everything but 25 gold is missing. E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.

I see reports that this is a known issue and usually corrects itself. But its been several hours since I logged in (Even leveling another toon in the mean time) And still not fixed. Even the Armory shows everything is gone.
At the Character screen. Imn had all his weapons and armor on. And once logged it removed it all. Then updated the Armory to him being naked.

I have an authenticator and several thousands of gold and junk on all my toons and so far this is the only one affected. So not hacked.

Also. When I logged. I get WOW anniversary gifts from WOW’s 9/10/13/15/16/18 anniversary’s. (Maybe more as its like 10 mails) Maybe this is related. I dunno. The anniversary stuff has happened on two alts so far. But only “Imn” has bugged like this. That I have seen so far.

Please add Isin-Durotan to the list of affected characters. (Isin and Imn are both stripped.)

It seems to be a addon or something as I log in with all my addons enabled. Then once I set up the UI to what I like, I log out to let the settings “Save” then disable my addons due to a small bug with one of the addons that seems not related to the issue I am writting about. I did this on Imn/Isin and also Imnutu and for some reason Imn and Isin got stripped, Imnutu seems to be ok.

I seen a post on WOW forums stating to try to buy a bag and equip it.

I did this and am waiting to see if this helps fix it. I did this with the new regent bag on Imn and Isin I bought a 6 pocket bag to see if it would help. So far. Nothing.

I believe this to be addon conflict related as I developed a bit of a habit on how I log in leveling these alts in prep for Dragonflight.

  1. Login all addons enabled. (Have loads of addons and none give a warning at all or error)
  2. Clean my bars/set up the UI to my accounts saved preference/lock down Details damage meter and set it to my main profile.
  3. Open Mail box. Get mail. Open anything I get.
  4. Currently do have a addon throwing up a random empty box so I log off and disable all addons.
  5. Log back in no addons. Settings for the UI saved (Lost count of UI placement issues when not properly logging off so log/relog to save the settings)
  6. That is when the WOW Achievement Barrage happens and WOW’s 9/10/13/15/16/18 anniversary’s all blast me. (Open the stuff up.) Left the empty mails on Isin for science. (deleted mails on Imn)
  7. Log off. Enable addons.
  8. Log back in and we are naked. But all gold is there. Bags both in bank and on Character…deleted. And Bank and Regent Bank is deleted.

I run a lot of addons. Major one that I just updated was Altoholic.

It’s an old very rare bug that started showing up a lot more frequently the past couple of days.

Submit a trouble ticket for a gm to work on it but it often goes away by itself… and sometimes comes back.

A bug report in the bug report forum would also help. In the past, the bug was too rare to collect any significant amount of data one or.

Isin-Durotan bag off the Auction House equipped and relogged. Fixed Her issue.
Vendor bags do not work. Must be BOE bags of some sort.
The Bag slot you put the “new” BOE bag into unequips the bag and drops it in your inventory.

I dunno what would happen if all slots in bags were full and you tried this.

Imn-Durotan is also back fixed.

I tried this before with Vendored bags and it did not work. Especially the New Dragonflight Regent Bag (Storm-Battered Reagent Bag)

I bought 2x Small Green Pouch and equipped them each on Isin and Imn and it fixed the entire issue as far as I can tell.

Thats why I stopped in here. To report it here.

Cannot find the “Report Bug” button in game.
Opened a ticket anyway.
Waiting 14 days for a reply.

But was also told in this old post that they prefer it in the forums here.

I was able to fix mine with the bag trick. I bought a bag off the AH, it was not BoE, and equipped it, logged out, then in, and I was good. Then I sent the bag to the other character but no success. So I bought another bag off the AH with the 2nd character and that fixed it.

So in my experience the bags did not have to be BoE, but they did seem to have to come from the AH.

I am reading that buy off the AH. Does not need to be BOE. Works. Seeing a couple reports of that.

I assumed it would need be BOE from AH. But in reflection that was a error.
I have read a couple posts stating that it could not be vendor bags though.

So good to know it can be any bag on the AH.

This might have something to do with the bags being mailed to you as much as it could be due to buying of the AH.

Haven’t had the issue so I can’t test it out.

No. re-read my previous post.

Then I sent the bag to the other character but no success. So I bought another bag off the AH with the 2nd character and that fixed it.
