There should be a change in policy for this man and anyone that’s been scammed.
No reason after the items were removed from the thief that they shouldn’t be restored to the rightful owner. It doesn’t effect the economy but only the person who spent hours farming the materials or gold and the thief.
We’re in an age of memes and trolling, not restoring items only encourages people to steal and MAYBE get a 3 day suspension… and there’s only a potential of that happening if the victim provides screenshots or the thief gloats later
Let’s take a moment to stop complaining about AV and support a good cause for the community.
I agree wholeheartedly. If they’re going to put the time in to remove the items from the person who scammed, I see no reason not to take the extra seconds to restore the items to the player.
I’m curious, because it’s Blizzard’s strict CS policy not to discuss actions taken on other accounts, even to the victim. Like, in my experience, they won’t even say whether or not the person will be actioned, just that they will investigate.
But yeah, they should restore the items to the victim if they were scammed like that. Especially if they’re going to delete them from the aggressor.
The funny thing about that thread to me is, it looks like it was originally created in GD, then moved to CS, where they recommended he create a thread in… GD?? to get dev visibility?
Sends pretty mixed messages IMO, and it seems like the sort of behavior that would frustrate a person to cancelling a sub.
Blizz CS is total trash, before the budget cuts GM’s stuck with you to make sure you were 100% satisfied to the best of their ability. Today there is a 12-24 hr response time, and most of the time they are no help.
The last time I had help from them, it didnt even seem like they were fully reading my ticket/replys, and every response was sent by a different person.
I’m going to give you some hard truths OP. Classic has almost no support from within Blizzard. They do not want to get involved with loot disuptes, they don’t want to invest the manpower to have people available to help players in those situations. Classic is a project that the community bullied Blizzard into releasing and they don’t seem at all interested in supporting it despite our monthly fees.
That is the reality we live in. Plot your course accordingly.
Seems to me the answer is to bully them into implementing better policies in that case. If we can get premades addressed, surely we can get this blown up too, I would hope.
GMs arent the same anymore. They arent even knowledgeable on some basic things… check reddit for a classic gm telling a player they had to maintain rank to use the rank rewards they had purchased… LOL
