That’s weird because my Warlock in classic was demo pvp spec and I got an invite to a MC pug. We got Rag down pretty smoothly.
I’ve heard of guilds that are really elitist about what they bring. But there’s pugs that will bring pvp specs or even ret paladin who deal negative dps. I’d say my experience in classic is pretty pleasant if I don’t take it too seriously.
My favorite is the “only the top 1% don’t like covenants” thing, which is clearly only from people NOT in the beta, since covenants (as currently designed) are disliked by:
Anybody who tanks or heals.
Anybody likes playing multiple specs.
Anybody who does more than 1 type of content (pvp/dungeons/raids)
Anybody who likes experimenting and trying new things.
ANYBODY WHO WANTS TO SEE THE STORY without making 3 alts.
You mean like you are being ? Running around calling others “metaslaves” for not playing the game how you think it should be played ? By trying to force your way of playing on everyone else ?
Again I ask you : what do you even gain from Covenant powers ?
Where was I toxic ? I’m not the one running around calling people “metaslaves”. I don’t care that you like LFR. More power to you. I don’t want to be forced to pick between a cool Covenant and being stuck in LFR or the Covenant that mathematically works to do the content I enjoy.
They considering non meta slaves a burden, not useful or to be trolling meanwhile there’s people who play and have fun in mythic raids with sub optimal specs and build just fine.
And yet here you are so hard in keeping us from desiding to play a different build. Make up your mind. Do you want the option to play different builds or not?
You were allowed that, Azerite reforger was there to allow you to change your build every now and then.
Instead meta slaves abused it and kept changing so often they had to pay 200k each time.
Ion and the team learned that metaslaves will never be stopped by a currency or gold cost so timegates are the only solution from stopping them from abusing build changing functions that exist to allow people to change builds, not so they can change builds for each boss to be optimal for every single one.
Yep, I commented on that earlier, that is in fact what they seem to be doing.
There’s still some outliers, but obviously, they’re not done. So at the end of the day, Blasco and Ralph are losing this debate and Blizzard is going to simply destroy the systems and leave husks of them around.
It’s gotten to the point that people simply don’t even care to interact with the systems with how convoluted they are. Blizzard really has no choice to just axe it all down.
You’re the one that’s name calling dude. “Elitist” “Metaslaves” “trolls”.
I mean, I don’t care you want to be mediocre and lock in some pretty bad talents. More power to you. I’ll simply not group up with you.
Just because I don’t care what you do doesn’t mean I have to carry you. At least for free. If you’re paying, I’ll carry you. I’ll even toss in “Nice” for free.
LOL no one was doing that. We had many sets of gear instead. You know that piece you wanted and that I could’ve traded to you ? I used it for my off spec instead.
Blizzard gave up on Azerite in 8.2. They made all Raid azerite have everyone’s BiS traits and people just stopped complaining because you couldn’t go 2 feet without finding a Test of Might or Festermight or Igneous Potential piece of Azerite.
And the min/maxers are the reason we know what items are BiS.
What a lot of people don’t get, even a certain panda is a lot of people like to min/max. This is not just a 1% thing.
Many in my guild like to min/max and push themselves to the absolute limit. My entire time playing this game I don’t think I could say I was ever in a guild without min/maxers. I’ve know and still no many min/maxers and no, they’re not the big, bad boogie man.
And there comes the real face of elitists, if you arent a meta slave like them you are a "burden to be carried"
Because clearly in their eyes it doesnt matter how good you are, what matters is to be a good obedient meta slave.
You revealed yourself early. That is how they see people who dont worship the meta, remember this when they try to be nice and friendly for appearances sake.
I mean, yes, if you’re doing 30% less DPS than you should be doing, you are a burden. And that’s fine. Just not in my group.
Freedom of association baby.
(again, whisper me for rates, if you’re paying, that restriction gets lifted).
The funny part is, if you were nice enough and weren’t combative, you’d probably find a spot with friends at the Family&Friends rank in a Mythic guild, and then whenever there’s an alt Heroic, you’d get in for free, as we don’t care, bosses will die and so we just bring everyone.
Heck, I’ve run keys with Family&Friends people. “1 more for X key”, F&F member “I’d do it, is my gear fine ?” invite “I don’t care about your gear dude”.
Stop promoting your own threads. Also stop judging many off the few you know. I wonder what people would say about casuals if they only used you as an example. Reply if you must but I’m done addressing you.
