If you do raid with a class/spec/build that isnt the best apparently you are trolling, bad and a burden. according to well known youtube elitist personality.
They literally just said that to the face of any class and spec that has done mythic on a sub optimal and underperforming classes and specs just fine
Person A: “I just want the spec i want to play which is Paladin/monk but is that just trolling the other 19 people i play boss fights with, probably”
Person B: “Yeah, you want to play what you want to play and be useful, I dont want to be a burden, why would you ever feel that way, that is what confuses, why do you think that would be ok, why is that ok”
This is the source of the elitism and the deep disdain they have towards anyone who doesnt play meta, FotM, most optimal build etc, these are the casual comments they give each other when playing with other elitists.
In their eyes everyone who plays for fun and enjoys their spec is trolling the raid, a burden and bad player that isnt useful, they of course try to be friendly and keep up appearances when between casuals and the community but these comments prove how they see players who are here to play a video game for fun and enjoy raiding.
And these are also the same the people who make youtube videos and streams calling classes and specs trash which lead to less knowledgeable players in the community go “Oh you are playing this underperforming class? No invite cuz X streamer told me your spec is trash in their video/stream” even when that spec is perfectly capable of doing the content they were trying to enter.
This is the source of the elitism and toxicity in the game, and there have been many people trying to downplay that lately so I wanted to point out how their own comments reveal their true feelings about casual players who raid for fun.
