I’m having the same issue on my Hunter. No quest for Shadowlands. I tried porting directly here and party sync nothing works
Update on the scribe i took another character, lvl 52 DH who went to shadowlands with the quest and scribe wont give option to lvl by worldquests, she was sent to do the campaing
I already have a lvl 60 who did the campaing
I highly advise against doing Shadowlands until Bliz hotfixes.
I have completed the campaign multiple times. Got tired of invasion leveling, so figured I’d do Shadowlands. Had to have a friend do party sync to get the fix to start Shadowlands. After a few of the intro quests, I was able to skip the rest. However, once you get to Oribos, you won’t have the continuing quests. This is when you will need to drop party sync for it to pop up. You will not be able to select times of fate and will need to do all the intro campaigns again. Warning here, once you start to progress through the campaign, you will no longer see the quest markers as all of the quests are too low unless you pause to go back to stormwind to get back into cromie time. This whole chain was painful, especially with mob scaling as they are way too powerful. It is honesty better to just do invasions or treasure hunt in WOD.
You can track “trivial quests” to get them to show.
Same issue here. I had the quest after logging in to this character previously. I however abandoned it accidentally when clearing my quest log. Cannot re-obtain the shadowlands intro quest currently.
Same issue. Just leveled 50-60 without stepping foot outside Cromie time/dungeons and now I can not start the shadowlands quest. The group of people are missing from the Valley of Strength in Orgrimmar and the quest refuses to appear.
Still stuck here. I leveled my toon to lvl 60 and don’t have access to any covenant. Sadge
If you can’t get a friend or a random to share the quest via party sync do this…
- make a starter account
- make a Death Knight (You should be sent to capital right away after swearing oath to Lich King)
- Once at capital go find Chromie and choose Shadowlands time. The popup for A Chilling Summons should appear. Hit Accept.
- Add your main character as a friend and invite to group
- party sync up and share the quest. then leave group
- your main character should still have the Shadowlands intro quest.
Something definitely funky happened with the phases and adding Shadowlands to chromie time, but hopefully this helps until a fix is in place.
Thanks for your helpful reply. I waited like you said and it wasn’t fixed you said.
But again, thanks.
Nowhere did Rufflebottom say it would be fixed with maintenance. They said to check again after maintenance to see if it was fixed yet as the Blizzard poster stated it likely needed a hotfix. They will not push a hotfix until they are sure it should work to resolve such issues.
This is silly. I can’t progress as I’ve done all quests on the character I want to level up from 50. Great way to start an expansion.
Im having the same problem. None of the suggestions in here worked.
Blizzard really has to fix this. I won’t be resubbing until I can actually play on my main. I am not going to blow a month’s sub on a possible player submitted bootstrap fix that some are reporting doesn’t work in the first place.
I have reloaded and relogged between every step. I have dropped all my quests. I have picked them up again and completed anything I can find that could theoretically impact Stormwind, except for the Darkshore warfront quests which for some reason I cannot pick up from Dori’thur on the boat either. I have tried turning Chromie time on and off. I have tried 3 different level 50 characters.
In my ticket response, the GM admitted that this was a known issue but won’t be fixed unless more people submit bug reports… I did so, and that was 16 days ago. How many people need to be locked out of an entire expansion for it to register as an issue? Do players that are waiting to buy DF until we see what direction the xpac goes in not matter?
Yes, they admitted it was a known issue, a month ago.
If you were to log into your now level 60 Druid that you apparently were having the issue with back in November and looked at your map you’d see an exclamation mark near Stormwind Keep (assuming you had trivial quest tracking on), where Highlord Darion Mograine stands offering “A Chilling Summons”.
Are you referring to a different Battlenet account? I don’t see any level 50’s. I see a level 60, which is the one you are posting on (though your current avatar lists level 50, it looks like it just hasn’t updated). Your other more recently accessed characters, accessed when your account was active in November, look to be a level 36, 28 and 11 character.
Looking at the level 36, you appear to have A Chilling Summons in your quest log.
Sorry, Diceman, I didn’t see this when you originally posted and since you appear to have a ticket open at the moment on this…
You’ll want to also go to see Highlord Darion Mograine outside of Stormwind Keep. He has the quest “A Chilling Summons” for you. You might want to turn on Trivial Quest Tracking. If you don’t have it on you won’t usually see a low level quest, which is what that Shadowlands quest would be if you are level 60.
I mistyped as it has been some time. My Rogue Enived and my Druid Kaleesh, my mains when I quit during BFA, both cannot access A Chilling Summons. No one was in front of Stormwind Keep or Grommash Hold. No portal, no Darion, nothing. No one was on the Stormwind throne either, or in the side rooms, if that’s informative. It’s as if I’m locked into some weird phase. It’s harder to recall what was happening in Grommash Hold, the thing being so packed with different warcheif NPCs as it is.
I don’t want to use my alts for my big introduction to a new expansion, I want to play on the mains I have used for many years.
When? Back in November? As I said, your level 60 Druid would be able to pick up the quest by speaking to Morgraine.
Your level 50 Rogue should automatically receive the quest when they log in, or they can visit Chromie. In either case, it seems you are operating on out of date experiences.
Do you have any documentation of a hotfix resolving the problems I was experiencing in November? I have been following patch notes faithfully and haven’t seen anything. Or maybe a manual fix you can apply? Because if you don’t, I have no reason to believe I wouldn’t have the same issue. Like I said, no one was there. I couldn’t talk to Mograine. Using Chromie Time to swap to Shadowlands did not materialize him. I did not receive A Chilling Summons on login.
No, I have practical experience, on your characters… which I tested myself.
I understand that, but you are repeating your experience back in November. The majority of those issues were resolved within a couple of days after that.
That was all I needed to hear.
