"Botters won't use the 58 boost"

I would advise you guys are currently playing to do /who blackrock depths, /who zul’farrak . Dozens and dozens of level 58s with random usernames!

Remember, we told ya so!

It is economically irresponsible for botters to purchase the boost.

So if they are, you should be thankful because they are actively harming their long term business prospects.

Keep consuming the copium. I believe we’ll be seeing the lvl 58s in azeroth and outland farming gold for quite some time.

Lol. Anyway, compound interest is the 9th wonder of the world. The short term dividends of an instant 58 pale in comparison to the long term benefits of levelling multiple tools.

Bots in game? So, same-old, same-old?

Cheaper mats. Awesome.

Compound interest? I think it goes without saying bots have a short shelf life. Measured in weeks

I’m not saying there aren’t bots, but don’t those dungeons have upgrades for boosties?

Considering the gear they got, no, you wont see them in outlands farming gold. As for azeroth, I saw a couple get muffin stomped by a dragonkin. Maybe you should look at it like this, every boost they buy puts money into the game instead of just into their pockets. LOL, its not like they couldnt just set up a group of 5 and be at 58 in 2 days anyway.

Don’t bother with logic. This topic is all about confirmation bias.

It’s a simple math problem.

40 or so hours to level. Plus some unknown amount of time to farm until banned. For 15

Or

0 hours to level, and unknown amount of time to farm until ban. For 50.

Assuming they can hit 50 gold an hour, and 33 gold = 1 dollar.(most retail token worth of gold for classic gold works out to about 15 gold per dollar, so that seems about right).

They break even on a boost, at about the same pace that they can level a character. Even better, this allows them to more reliably create farm characters on PvP servers, where they might otherwise have their leveling heavily disrupted. Giving them access to harder to enter markets.

Boosts are definitely a problem, in terms of bots. I’d hope that blizzard was at least trying to prevent their use for obvious throw away accounts, but I know that’s probably not happening.

The bots bring in millions of dollars for the account, gold and leveling RMT organizations. If it was not lucrative they would not do it.

60 dollars will not hit their hip pocket at all.

Your math is inaccurate. The boosters can pump a group of 5 out now while farming back the money they made.1 month for 5 is 80.95(taxes are included there). Lower chance of being flagged as people are actively looking for boosts to grief. They farm while levelling and have a very efficient process. At the end of the month, all 5 are 60 and are producing. The boost will cost them 295.85 (taxes included again) and they will be actively pinged by either other boosts who are not bots or other players who have made it their goal to go after any boosts. Now, I used NY tax rate as that it where I am from, so it may be off by some change. The boosters still have to buy game time unless you are saying that they are going for the deluxe edition. Also, your math about how much gold is worth is incorrect. There were a bunch of forum posts about this, which is funny in and of itself, but they were saying that the price of gold has either doubled or tripled which makes the lower cost, lower risk method more business friendly for the bots.

bots buy all the graphics cards for bitcoin farming so normal people cant afford one but its ok because nvidia and amd get all the money?

Imagine defending botting. Just imagine. What a world.

Who was defending bots? Please elaborate (I know, it’s harder to do that than just throw easy one-liners.)

Ffs lol. Bots literally have armies of end level characters with hundreds of thousands of gold on stock.

“Hey guys let’s buy this $40 boost for literally no reason at all considering what we already have”

Also, where is your SS? This post is so dumb lol

This is a pure lie.

They make more money by buying the boost and farming than they would leveling and then farming. All they have to do is farm $35 worth of gold in the time it takes to bot to lvl 58 to make a profit off the boost.

Another myth is that bots level fast. They dont, they are terribly inefficient at leveling. It’s more like 200+ hours, because all they do is grind mobs in a single location.
