"Botters won't use the 58 boost"

So you’re saying they didn’t have level 60 bots in Classic before the pre-patch?

Yes its ok, thats how the market works idiot lmao

How is that relevant? The question is whether they would buy a boost or level if they had to make the choice.

Go ahead and ban their lvl 60s, and they will just buy boosts, immediately return to farming.

Because if they already have level 60 bots on a realm… they wouldn’t need a boost to 58 would they?

Just sit quietly and think about this for a minute and it will come to you.

Well we found one of the bot farmers.

More individual bots = more gold from farming.

They will buy the boosts to replace banned accounts or expand the number of characters they have botting. This isn’t rocket science

Can the boosted character make more then $35 before its banned. This is a simple yes or no answer.

Anyone with any degree of intelligence knows blizzard didnt do enough for bots before. Buying a boost, saving hundreds of hours of work getting a new bot up and running, during which time blizzard could gain enough info to determine its a bot. Yes they are going to buy a boost for the bot. And your beyond delusional if you believe other wise

It’s unbelievable how many people continue to defend boosting, it has a negative impact on all aspects of the game. Just look at retail wow.

Yup

I had been waiting for TBC to come out for so long. It was my vanilla, so I came back, played a little shadowlands while waiting. Only to have them announce character boosts for TBC. Now I’m not going to be playing TBC at all because of it.

Its enormously cancerous and never should have been put into the game.

Sorry bud, you’re showing ignorance of the issue. Might want to look over how this all actually works again.

What is actually happening is the bots from Retail can now spend their account balance legally to purchase a level 58 character in Classic WoW, where the real money from gold selling currently is.

That’s wonderful sweetheart please explain to me how this whole system works. I’m sure you are so well informed.

This part was just referencing how Blizzard gave them a legal way to spend their account balance that they get from selling tokens.

The boost actually makes the bots money. Opportunity cost of the time it takes to level vs the amount of money they could make in that amount of time. It’s a no brainer to just boost every single bot to level 58, as the benefit of getting to make gold immediately far outweighs the time investment of leveling.

Do they need more bots? How much gold do they have in inventory right now?

Lol I love it when people explain what they think they know when they call you ignorant, it’s like watching someone shoot themselves in the foot.

So if the opportunity cost is better to buy a boost, why do you think they would spend retail gold to buy a boost for their account when leveling a toon themselves is way quicker than getting enough gold to buy tokens and turn it into a blizzard balance?

You mind explaining that? If your argument is opportunity cost, this seems like a terrible way to get your bang for your buck lol.

I have been in the bot community for awhile now, I know how these people work so I’d love to hear what someone, who probably has no experience with them at all, THINKS they know about this subject lol

How many bots have been banned so far? I ask because you speak with such certainty you must have actual data on this. You did mention “science,” and all so I’m assuming you base all your conclusions on data.

Why do we need to worry about bots from retail when the BC realms are already filled with bots that carried over to TBC?

I know. This thread is pure gold.

I love it when people ask for information while completely ignoring what you post.

This was already explained perfectly.

Because this is factually incorrect. The leveling process is not “cheaper” in this argument than a retail token. In fact, the gain from a level 58 boosted character is worth far more than you seem to realize.

It’s not as if the bot accounts don’t have this amount of Blizzard balance waiting around to be sold. Instead of waiting around to sell this balance, they can create an immediate level 58.

This time I’ll ask you to do the explaining. Care to tell me exactly how much the retail token “costs” in time? Care to disprove this, or just continue to claim you “know” how much this actually costs?

I like how you don’t quote my entire post. Being the very next line addresses the topic of why “This isnt rocket science”, and instead you try and turn it into a different talking point.

Here let me help you since you appear to have the reading comprehension skill of a 6 year old.

“Can the boosted character make more then $35 before its banned. This is a simple yes or no answer.”

So let’s break this down for the toddler.

If you give me $35, and I give you a toy you can make money with. Can you make more then $35 before I break your toy. Yes or No

Don’t even try. They’re a low-effort troll. I ignored them long ago.
