Blizzard...why are you so bad at community relations?

Now, I agree it does suck that there is no communication on the myriad of hot-topics plaguing the forums.

However, most of these issues have no ‘simple solution’ as most people like to tout. Some of these issues have four sides to the agenda. How does one solve it with a ‘simple solution’ without ultimately shunning one of those groups?

It’s a lose lose for them with some of those issues because no matter what, you will have major backlash.

What a toxic, useless reply.

like wat we’re missing a massive amount of the game

They really are just flat-out horrible at service and communication, either by design or through breathtaking incompetence.

I do, i do see this place. A poorly moderated forum that hasn’t seen it’s prime time in over a decade. Abandoned by Devs and Community managers in favor of platorms such as Twitter, Reddit, Instagram and the likes.

They stick to a corporate rule set that fosters negativity and trolling instead of using common sense to promote a positive atmosphere. A forum should be a platform to engage the community and communicate developments and intentions. Instead they opted to bunker up and let a vocal handful of dissidents shut them down.

I think its short sighteded to blame the forums users and the community for Blizzard not communicating when Blizzard has abandoned any pretense of attempting to use the forums for anything positive.

This is very true.

Read the forums. There’s your answer. I wouldn’t reply either hoping you would just leave on your own.

You want communication. These forums have never been more than a small percentage of the player base. So blizzard uses modes that reach significantly more players…

What, you expect them to actually do work? They have one dude that shows up 1 time a week to press the reset button on the server. They dont pay him well though and sometimes he forgets to turn the servers back on. Obviously they cant afford another worker just for posting in the forums. Cant you sheeple get it?

And say what? “We haven’t decided on x or y yet.” for months straight?

You guys are like needy little children.

Yes, i said as much in my post. Blizzard has opted to use platforms like reddit etc.
Are you adding something new or attempting to be another argumentative retail toon?

Don’t let the door hit ya if you’re quitting. Enough with the whining. This is a 15 year old game. All we did back then was raid log, farm gold, lvl alts, profession, pvp, and do dungeons back then waiting for content too. Don’t need a blue post telling us soon, don’t need posts every other freaking day like it’s a new game… just play, wait, or quit.

Ooooooh, a retail toon. Kindly disregard his comment. And this one.

I do agree. These forums with this multiple avatar system are set up for trolls. It’s like they were designed by a troll.
The community policing itself with the automated moderation contributes to it as well.
I gave up. it’s not going to change. Blizz wants it like this. It won’t change until the wow IP is no longer profitable.
While the game has lost subs it’s still no where near losing money. Hell if they continue this legacy project and do stand alone TBC wrath they can stretch this out for a few more years.

Let’s all post in the WoW General forums, maybe then we can get some attention.

Yeah. Look they have blues just chillin over there. This wasn’t even a food or puppy thread.

Will we ever see the blue's portraits again?

Bye retail kiddie.

clearly more mature than you lol.

your blood is boiling over the fact the game isnt tailor made for you specifically

Weekly or bi weekly updates would be a horrible idea.

Saying something and being wrong or changing your mind is infinitely worse than saying nothing at all.

You’re right… my blood is boiling! I’m so angry.

If one plays Classic WoW, why wouldn’t you want more updates? I’m curious.
