Is both pathetic and sad. We get it blizzard, you don’t care about pvp WE GET IT. But there are a few of us who actually do care about pvp and only play this game JUST to pvp. Your refusal to acknowledge their existence is hilarious, retail has a premade bg problem but good lord, the classic premade problem is out of control. I have done 8 BG’s today, SEVEN of them were against the same try hard discord premade who refuses to fight anyone of their same ilevel and skill but would rather fight a bunch of uncoordinated pugs who are just looking for some casual pvp. Pvp is DEAD on Sod classic, classic, and Cata classic and will be DEAD on MoP classic as well because blizzard simply, does. not. care.
People have asked and pleaded for years to get this que abuse fixed (yes abuse, if you want to know how they are queing into the same groups look up discord premades) but again and again you turn the other cheek and DO NOTHING. There’s nothing else to say but disappointment, Disappointment from the pvp community who loves classic pvp but watched it die in a drain due to your refusal.
FWIW, I detest the playstyle of those who throw in BGs. I also firmly believe that every single post complaining about premades is from someone who says things like, “It’s a premade.” “I know these guys, they are all in discord.” “stop reviving.” “let them win.” “just go next.” “let them cap.”
My vote would be to suspend people who do this from queuing into BGs.
Yes Snipy we all know how much you love to premade with your friends and smash a bunch of uncoordinated-ungeared pugs. It’s been well established that you’re a simp for these clowns and let the pvp scene die and get buried in classic because you refuse to fight other premades of your same gear and group coordination.
Not everyone who faces premades instantly quits, there are players who actually want the try hard sweats to lose and rage at each other on disc because they lost to a bunch of pugs, trust me I’m one of them. The problem is people who abuse the que system and que in with their friends to make an entire 10 made premade like you Snipy.
If it was just 4-5 players it wouldn’t be much of an issue but 10 player premades causes the majority of people to get GY stomped and they don’t pitch in leaving the rest of us who want to win in shambles. The only way MOP classic pvp can survive and not die off is if premades fight other premades and NOT pugs.
No, the best pvp happens when its pug vs pug the way it was intended and not a bunch of try hard no lifers who refuse to lose a bg abuse a que system just so they don’t hurt their pride from losing a bg. Let me guess you’re a try hard as well?
I think the problem in classic is that splitting people too much can make it so queues are pretty bad and then premades can still try to sync their queues which is much easier when there is less players.
A better option for me would be to try to make some changes to the bgs themselves, maybe add like alterac valley a maximum amount of reinforcements (player respawns) or add some type of player immunity in graveyards or even simply give players an handicap (5% bonus more stats or something) if they aren’t a premade.
I actually agree with your idea, a stat bonus vs a premade would be a great starting point but like I said, blizzard just doesn’t care about classic pvp. This is has been a problem for years and all they have done is look away now the casual classic pvp scene is dead due to their negligence. We understand it’s a complicated problem to fix but not doing ANYTHING is what brought us to this current predicament.
Anyway, I haven’t been really doing BGs much, lately. I’m playing Cata Classic at the moment, and there’s pretty much zero reason to do them. I like PVP, but arenas are far more enjoyable for me.
Of course, if/whenever I do queue a random, I’m just doing it for fun, and don’t care at all if the other team is a premade (not like I’d know! nor that you know either, whether they are or not).
It isn’t an issue. Stop throwing games. If you want to play for fun, then enjoy yourself. If you’re not having fun, go do something else. It’s a game.
If you want to play competitively, then you’re playing the wrong mode.

Then do it, and stop lying. You are not facing premades in every game. And even “premades” are probably mostly just random people assembled through trade-chat or who happen to be in a guild together, but aren’t communicating and are not all geared.

No one said anything about facing premades every game but when you face them 7 games out of 8 it becomes a problem? Why? Well, no. It’s because it’s just flat-out lies. People complaining about premades are not just “trying to have fun,” they are trying to show up, do nothing and get wins, but that isn’t happening. I don’t know why that is fun for them, but that’s their preferred playstyle.
A big reason I decided no to play Anniversary is because the devs are catering to those players. It frankly disgusts me, and I’m happier to avoid those players rather than try to deal with it.
But that’s also why I push back when I see you championing it, because it’s completely against my preference.
That sucks, but if it happened seven times in a row, that means you didn’t even think about how to avoid them. Have you considered that if you wait five minutes, they’ll probably just queue into someone else? That’s basic self-defense and preserving your own sanity.
I don’t know why you’d complain about iLvl in end-of-season PvP. Almost everyone with a pulse has figured out that a 2s match (average 2mins in low cr) is going to get you either 75 or 225 conquest. You can skip the entire honor grind and get the 20% better gear.
