well gave them a chance no pvp only gear once again. So that raiders and mythic players are crushing pvpers. Sorry Blizz I am gone. You did not listen about bringing pvp stats back.
Even among the changes crowd, did, idk, anyone at all expect this?
I belive they are talking about live game since they mentioned mythic
Mythic? Wrong forum. Most of the people here gave up on expecting anything positive from Modern long ago.
Mythic difficulty in classic is what you call it when you face me in AB
We call it Modern, not live.
Come on man, get it right.
Dumping PvP stats is absolutely what Blizzard should have done after TBC.
I would rather have a gearing system whereby you can acquire equal gear through PvP and PvE than a system where PvP gear is objectively better.
Sod off.
Your the first person i have heard call it that.
Arinowene called it Modern in this very topic and posted before me.
Also, I don’t believe you anyway.
Dont really care what you believe honestly
Sheesh man.
Don’t be angry about it.
We call it retail or live. Nobody but you calls it modern. And that Druid, apparently.
Don’t be ridiculous.
The words “live” and “retail” refer to both Classic and Modern WoW at this point.
Not particularly. Live refers to the state of the game in the current development state, rather than Classic which is not at all in active development - just maintenance. And Retail is a hold over from private servers which refers to the same thing, as at the time there weren’t any official Classic servers.
Modern also sounds dumb.
That’s an interesting definition for “live” I guess.
But, you are just straight wrong for calling it retail. That’s objectively incorrect at this point. Regardless of it being a holdover (yeah it was called that).
Modern WoW is fine. People have been using that term for months now.
Live is called live because it sees live development and continued updates, whereas Classic doesn’t.
Retail is a holdover from before. It’s not accurate anymore, but it’s more widely understood than “modern”. Prior to this thread I’ve never heard it.
Blizzard refers to “Retail” as “modern WoW.”
What Blizzard calls things doesn’t inherently make them, “correct”.
You can add Blizzard and myself to that list too. Also, all the people from the google search results I’m getting.
There’s a few.
I call it modern wow. It makes more sense to me. Calling it retail only made sense when the only way to play vanilla was through pservers, and that is where the term originated from. Nowadays though, classic and modern wow are both retail wow.
Semantics much? Wow
