Blizz should eliminate leveling

That is so sad actually.

You playing this pretend leveling, thinking your character is getting stronger (spoiler: they don’t, the content scaled with you) based on 70 arbitrary number before you can actually play the game.

Lets face the truth, leveling is dumber than attunement.

Leveling doesn’t really teach you how to play your class. Especially not when you have borrowed power systems layered on top. All leveling does is meter out your abilities so you don’t get completely confused and overwhelmed at the start.

It should also be noted that you actually get weaker as you level up in wow. Your character is essentially completely reset at max level. It’s only once you reach max level that the scaling training wheels get taken off and you actually start leveling your character in earnest.

If they eliminated leveling. I would quit , for good, as soon as it was announced.

Report as trolling and move on. Only 9 posts, and he’s level 11.

Im mad about having to level another alt . Like I said, its not that far fetched to imagine there is a better system than leveling

How is leveling character development?

Its not sad at all. Leveling in chromie time is more engaging than max level content. My only complaint is leveling is too fast. If blizzard aĺlowed players to downsync their level from Max and continue questing in chromie time thatll be great. Doing legacy content and oneshotting mobs is not engaging.

Yes it does. You have no ide what youre talking about. You probably havent even leveled a new character in years. Since talent trees came back it forces you to learn your class as you level.

While it’s understandable that you may feel frustrated with the leveling process in World of Warcraft, eliminating it altogether could have several negative consequences.

Firstly, the leveling process serves as a tutorial that teaches players the mechanics of the game and the abilities of their chosen class or profession. Skipping this process would mean that players might not fully understand how to use their abilities or how to work effectively with other players in a group setting. This could lead to frustration and could ultimately impact the overall enjoyment of the game.

Secondly, the leveling process provides a sense of progression and accomplishment as players work towards reaching max level. Without this sense of progression, players may not feel as motivated to continue playing the game.

As for starting with high ilvl gear, this would also take away from the sense of accomplishment and progression in the game. Part of the fun in MMOs is acquiring new gear and upgrading your character’s power over time. Starting with high ilvl gear would mean that players would not have the opportunity to experience this aspect of the game.

Overall, while it’s understandable to feel frustrated with the leveling process and gear progression in World of Warcraft, these elements are important for the overall experience of the game and eliminating them would likely have negative consequences.

Hey, you! Take a look into some of my big suggestions for WoW and let your comment there!
Azeroth-monium! - It’s time for a new army! NPC Dungeons
Battle Pets Unleashed - A Game-Changing PvP Battle
Retro Raid Roulette: A New Challenge Awaits!
NPC Roulette - The Ultimate PvP Challenge

I agree. Sometime, if I want to really just relax leveling an alt is great for that. I then can go through the quests and I will actually read quest text (after I level my main fast).

People that think like the OP need to just go play a MOBA and leave RPGs alone.

leveling is ok as long as its not infinite.
There should be a max character level. It should have been set at 60 and left there.
That blizzard felt to take it back down to 60 proves the argument that it shouldnt be without a max in the first place.
60 max for character level and find some other way to progress after that.

Ur a funny one. Little orc. The peculiar kind of funny, not the humorous kind.

They pretty much already did that with the level theft. Levels are now completely meaningless.

Wrong. They have it because leveling and questing are the game.

“End game” content is just a gated hamster wheel designed to be a pointless time sink that gets invalidated when the next expansion launches.

The core game is based around leveling and questing, and a lot of players do nothing but level alts because “end game” activities suck.

Is that why there are so many who reach max level and don’t know what an interupt or cc is?
