Blazing Ingot quest dead

I am actually happy I stopped doing those dailies because that one infuriated me.

And getting infuriated at a game is a sign to quit

This just boggles the mind, truly. If I was to make an MMO, which I can’t, granted, I’d make sure players enjoy having other players around. I’d probably say that the number one design element you should consider when making a Massively Multiplayer game is if it’s still fun with a massive number of players.

Quests that share can be a lot of fun. I like healing random people I see who are struggling with quests, or leaping in to help kill a big pack they overpulled. I love spontaneous cooperation in an online game. I don’t like it when people click the items I need for the quest while I am killing the mob guarding them, making the quest take 4x as long as I am burdened by the presence of other players in my MMO.

I haven’t done much in the maw since it was released “Too Grindy”. This change is a slap in the players face. Stupid change just to increase their metrics and make the game look better than it is actually doing.

True, but it’s just one more thing that could be the final straw for someone. As much as I hope this is a but, I’ll bet it isn’t. There are people at Blizzard that seem to think that having us compete for stuff like this is a good mechanic. I know for, I"ll p;probably just pass on this one now. Just no bang for the buck, but that pretty much sums up The Maw for me. For me, it’s just a complete failure. I’m sure there are people that like it, but I’m not one of them.

They could have the MOB right there even drop an ingot to rectify this problem… but probably not.

even hypothetical “competition” makes no sense. We’re not fighting the other faction. Compete by pacing back and forth. What fun.

And it is pretty much broken. 12 ingots? I couldn’t get 2.

Which if the reports from a couple weeks ago are true, it’s not doing great. So instead of trying to improve the game so that people want to play, what does Blizzard do? Try and squeeze every last second out of the people that are left while they can. It’s just absurd.

At this point im surprised they have not done with for collecting souls.

???

Why Blizzard?

This has to be a bug right? Because like, I don’t actually see the logic for this nonsense.

Don’t give them any ideas…

Ion Hazzicostas is on record, if I recall right, in saying that competition between players is something they actively design towards.

In a freaking CO-OP game.

I just avoid the hell out of all these “one player per item” crapquests, just like I avoided the hell out of the zero-effort Vale/Uldum zones with their same “one per player” enforcement.

It’s a 180-degree rollback on quality of life changes that have been in the game for YEARS now.

What’s next - is this whole “BACK TO CLASSIC” crap going to result in resource nodes going back to one per player next?

Probably.

So many player-hostile decisions are coming out of this dev team lately, and stupid, stupid nerfs like this suggest that it’s still policy at WoW HQ to make players “play the game our way, or quit”.

They need to be careful. They can’t afford to lose many more.

Probably. And mob tagging, too.

It wasn’t even fun to begin with. I’m not going to fight people for this crap now.

The fact that multiple quests were changed in this manner makes it feel intentional to me. If so, then it’s 200% crystal clear that this development team will remain utterly disconnected from the playerbase’s desires for the foreseeable future.

I would love to hear the mindset behind this change…

Efficient quests are not part of wow anymore. did you not get the memo?

its “TIME PLAYED!!!111”

Hopefully this is a bug and not intended. Would like to hear from a blue on this one.

This sums up WoW today in so many ways.
