Blazing Ingot quest dead

The thing is anyone with half a functioning brain cell could tell you, you can’t give someone an efficient way of doing something first, and then give them a worse more tedious way of accomplishing the same thing, and expect people to be happy with the result. The fact that there are people on the development team that get paid to make these decisions is mind-blowing.

This.

It goes all the way back to Ghostcrawler talking about flying in WoW. It’s a Pandora’s box, in that once you open it, there’s no turning back. It’s why people hate pathfinder. If they had implemented pathfinder from the start, maybe we wouldn’t hate it so much, but there’s no way of knowing that now.

It’s the exact same situation with this quest, just on a vastly smaller scale. The fact is, Blizzard has made quest items like this shared for around 4 expansions now. I think it’s been that long, because it’s been so long that I actually forget when it was implemented. Either way, it was an amazing implementation, and this change goes against those quality of life questing changes.

TL;DR it’s stupid and needs to be reverted.

I thought this seemed different when I was doing it…

Think this stuff started with classics success.

But this type of crap isn’t what made classic great.

Classic was great despite it because it had a real sense of character growth and progression and the world felt more real. Not like some back lot movie set.

Two quests I’m not doing anymore until this “fix” gets reverted.

^less time played.

^less motivation to even bother logging in.

They’re taking all the wrong aspects from Classic to bring here.

But they are also probably relying on Al Gore’s Rhythims or something to plan everything.

Oh God if only they were fired already!

Yeah, screw that quest. If I wanted to play Classic, I’d play Classic.

This one step forward, two steps back approach to the game is becoming tedious and honestly overly pathetic on the part of the devs and whoever is making these decisions.

Why after this long they suddenly change for no reason… no narrative… just “Well, let’s do this…” … it’s utterly pathetic of the Dev team to do this. You are now setting up retail WoW to have a lot of things that people can use to suddenly “some things” are first come first serve for no reason other than to just do it. There is no reason for this other than to punish people and timegate your normal routines in-game.

Please fix this Blizzard… this is a very weak and blatant attempt to be pathetic and you know it.

JUst another quest people will now not do anymore, idk why they cant just make it so factions can share tags and items now.

Whoever made this decision regarding the quest items should be fired.

We’re working on a hotfix for this.

Once the hotfix is live, Blazing Ingots for “Acquisition: Blazing Ingots” and Animacones for “A Dangerous Harvest” will respawn quickly after a player has looted them.

Design decisions like this really illuminate Blizzards true intentions and really make you question why you continue to play this game in 2021.

Jokes on them, less and less people are already doing Maw dailies.

At least for me, I have given up on the dailies. I do the weeklies, but the dailies are just more time I don’t care to give for stygia.

Dumb change though.

My guess is the numbers people want to keep us logged in longer to hit some sort of internal goal they have. So they are making little changes like this that makes quests take longer.

I just want to know what the hell they were thinking.

Who greenlit this? That person needs to lose his next paycheck.
