BG Que Times

At no point in time did I ever have anywhere near what I am experiencing right now.

It’s worth mentioning also, that the honor numbers seem really really low also. AB wins give 150 honor…wtf?

It is definitely amplified with the way people play WoW now.

Hopefully it alleviates as more people give up.

I’m pretty sure defender bonus points were in the game around the time honor was changed to what it is now to offset the bonus points from capping flags and try to get people to play objectives instead, but it’s been a long time and my memory is hazy on it.

This is my only counter,

In the time you have invested in responding to everyone here you would have easily been a level 28+ rogue on alliance by now,
Shoot even blizzard offered an in game boosted 58 character, but you don’t care for that.

So enjoy your queue times, they will only get worse in phase 2 once the few alliance pvp’ers are geared up and just BG on a casual basis.

Do you think it’s just me asking for faster queue times or something? I would imagine the majority of the Horde are asking for a change, and that happens to be the majority of the player base. Merc mode would NOT destroy the soul of the game you absolute muppet.

Again, you dont speak for everyone. The only reason OG TBC didnt have long queue times is because back then everyone and their mothers didnt stockpile on one faction and cause this. This is 100% your fault, I have no sympathy for you. If you cant affors to sit in the queue because of your intense work hours, then use your boost on an alliance character or go back to pirating this game and stealing IP. If you and the rest of the complainers quit, it’s better for the game especially us Horde players.

I dont care how much private server theft you committed, your disregard for the soul of this game reveals that you arent actually passionate about this retro project and are more of a retail player. Retail is simply better for people like you.

Your words are full of hatred and spite, yet you don’t even know me. What a person you must be in RL.

I dont hate you. But I’ve been waiting for this since 2008 when WOTLK launched, and now its finally here… and some people like you are seemingly hellbent on destroying everything I love about this game. I dont hate you, I just hate that you are trying to piss all over what i consider to be a digital masterpiece.

What would letting people play PvP in a reasonable amount of time do to the game?

Think about this…

My buddy who hasn’t played WoW in 14 years came back to play TBC after I was already on horde. He is already talking about quitting because bg que times and that he won’t have time to gear up since he works.

This destroys my fun and his, how many other people are in this same situation? Just screw me right? Just let me go to hell right? Just screw all the people who are in this situation right? I don’t think so and I really doubt Blizzard wants that to happen either.

Well said!

Do you feel this has been an accurate representation of how it was back in 2008 though? You can’t bring back the past. We saw that with classic, and we are seeing it again in TBC. It’s why OSRS is so successful, they make changes to keep the SOUL of the game, but address issues that plagued the game back then. Just because we are asking for a change, does not mean you need to implement LFR and pet battles.

Pretty much, yeah.

Retail is catered to individual player efficacy and streamlined for people with time limitations.

People begged for Classic because they hate Retail’s systems.

Sorry you can’t be as competitive as you guys were when you were kids.

Sorry your friend is willing to quit over a fraction of what the game has to offer.

This exact same thing happened in P2 of Classic when BGs launched.

Blizzard did not do anything about it.

Nearly 60% of the Classic playerbase quit by P3.

Many in the pvp community saw the writing on the wall, since before TBC even came out, some people just don’t like to accept the truth.

Well let’s let Blizzard decide. Again, based on y our arguments I see this as an easy decision for them. The opposing view is laced with malice and spite, void of reason or compassion, only spewing vitriol and nonsense.

You should have rolled alliance. Your buddy should have rolled alliance. Your buddy probably would have quit anyway. Pvp is a small part of WoW, go do something else.

All in all I think you are the wrong type of player for the game.

It pains me to think about how this makes sense to you. I guess you have infinite time and no real life obligations or something?

Oh I want horde to have better queue times, I just don’t want mercenary mode in the game.

Blizzard has already decided. Multiple times now. You just don’t like the answer.

Throughout all of Classic.

Twice when they changed honor.

Without these pro’s and con’s to factions there would be no faction pride in the game. The negativity and struggle makes you invested in which side you play for.

It might not be as impactful to people like you and your friend who cannot play the game a lot, but it is something that does not exist in Retail.

It is part of what makes Classic great.

I’m sorry about your buddy but that’s precisely why Blizzard has Shadowlands and why it’s so accessible and filled to the brim with QoL changes. If your buddy and you dont have time to enjoy TBC, you are the target market for Retail. It’s as simple as that.

I’m in the same boat, really. I work more than full time, have a massive billable hour requirement, and as a result I’m leveling slowly… plus I’m horde and have BG queues. I cant blame the game or blizzard for that. I love TBC so much that I’d rather preserve the sanctity of the game than to demand custom changes to make my experience easier at the cost of the soul of Classic WoW. If the QoL issues were really that unbearable for me, I’d just boost an alliance alt or play retail.

FYI I loved the first Classic WoW. It’s my favorite game of all time. I felt blizzard delivered it perfectly and #nochanges was the best decision they made.

lol this guy wants to defend his point so bad. No merc mode wont be in the game. reroll for faster queues. The more ppl reroll the better both factions will be for it.

I just got into an AV where alliance was premade. After waiting for almost 2 hrs in que its an ally premade, they have such fast ques they can premade AV.

Non-stop que since 9am-1:45 pm - honor gained - 3200.

Less than 1k honor per hour, more like 800 honor per hour. That means to get the full epic offset it will take me 122 hours of grinding bgs, doing nothing else.

If I wanted to get the blue set, that is an aditional 107 hours. So I would have to spend 229 hours doing nothing but PvP to get full resil gear.

If I played 8 hours a day, probably twice as much as most people, it would take me 28 straight days of playing nothing but bg’s to get full resil gear for s1. Season 1 would almost be over before I got it. If I, like most, only played 4 hours a day then it would take me 56 days to get full resil gear.

You think this is reasonable to just allow to be a thing? You think Blizzard will let this stand? They need to up the honor gains for one, but also que times have to be fixed there is no alternative other than a dead PvP game.

no its unreasonable and ppl need to reroll to make the game better for everyone. No merc mode. We understand your problem, its just caused by you and all the other ppl who play horde and not alliance. Not a dev problem, a community problem.
