im a not a broker, i have all my sell stuffs on ONE char and now i cant check prices and post or cancel auctions normaly bc u dont want … i have a better idea:
please, for AH safety, dont open it … keep it closed, and servers too. no more game. that solve all ur stupid problems

This change makes me want to play the game less. I have ~275 auctions on the AH that I post and the amount of time to even post just 100 last night was crazy. I don’t feel like logging into the game right now. I’ll spend my time elsewhere.

You must have bad reading comprehension then because there has been multiple well written posts about how this affects everyone without really even fixing the problem because those who are causing the problem don’t care, they have multiple accounts they can post from.
All this change does is actually encourage Multi-boxxers. You know what nvm I am all for this change now. Lets see how many Multi-boxxers pop up now. Its not against ToS and I mean if people can’t cancel scan they’ll need more stock to just continuously post which means the average person now won’t only be able to use the AH they won’t be able to use gathering nodes as well. Sounds like a good change to me

It’s kinda funny the main argument to the changes is for you having to do more actions and getting carpal tunnel when many players are doing rotations way faster than using the ah will ever be. It would be like if players were defending using automation for their rotations to not get carpal tunnel.
You can also still play the ah, but it is questionable that this seems like a sky falling problem because you’re addon can no longer do it’s jobs. Even pvpers in tournaments can manage without addons. So there is something really wrong here. That the game could fix by making things more baseline. There is solutions, but clearly the addon was overpowered.
Playing with an addon that plays 1000 times faster than without an addon is probably not the intentional way.

I think the only way this gets fixed is if the root cause - frequent cancelling being the most profitable option - is addressed.
Throttling cancels might work, but applying an economic penalty to cancelling would probably fix the market almost overnight.
I’m sure many players who engage in the mass-cancel game don’t even LIKE it - it’s just become an arms race and the only way to win, so they do it.

It takes around 300 ms post with an addon and maybe 500 to 750 ms to post without an addon.
Or just, not allow people to cancel after a post has been active for, say, 15 minutes?
It gives people the option to cancel (with a penalty) if they misprice something, but not to cancel all the time.
The other huge thing they could do is allow people to post permanent auction listings. For things that are rare and sell infrequently, I’d just leave them up at a reasonable price until someone wanted them.
Doing a batch post is infinitly faster, if anything many people have reported not getting throttled when not using ah addons atm.
I agree, stop the canceling, stop the problem.
My “current” suggestion to that is allow people to cancel their auction the first time no penalty, but each subsequent cancel cost 20% of the cost of the auction and perhaps give the items a 3 day cooldown before the first cancel is free again, that way people can post items and if needed raise or lower prices as needed. Any auction below 3 days has no option to cancel and auction duration can be extended to 7 days.
Do you use power tools? Cause you shouldn’t apparently. TSM is a tool that people use to help them do what they want to do more effectively. Saying that people shouldn’t be able to use it is the exact same as telling people they shouldn’t use even basic tools to help them complete tasks.

Nah just leave it as is, it’ll be much more fun to read “Why are all the gathering nodes always down on populated servers” posts from all the people who complained about the AH posters who transitioned to more aggressive multi-boxing because they wanted them to “Play the game” more.
Or better yet. “Why are potions 3 gold on my server? I can’t make any money on that!?”
