That usually indicates that an internal audit of either the bans/suspensions or the appeals found that the criteria being uses were too broad. They would then rerun the bans/suspensions with the updated criteria and let the affected players know.
totally understand the process of it, these matters truly mess up the experience of gaming. the progress of the game is also important. 20 yrs anniversary event is going to end in January, and will never come back again… the experience was ruined by random banishment.
They don’t randomly punish players, even though they could if they truly wanted.
Blizzard would prefer to educate players with silences and suspensions, only banning players as a last resort or if the players actions were egregious enough to warrant a ban.
I would like to believe what you saying, but this is 100% incorrect. cause I experienced this, My account was banned because of I left a lvl 1 character in a guild that rmt. without that banish, I can’t even remember I still have that character. and all Blizzard’s reply are “you are 100% guilt”. and again, I willing to ask what I did for banish I got early this year.
and I really wanna know what Blizzard tried to educate me, don’t join a guild? idk
I received their updates, but I believe they are reviewing my previously closed accounts(happened at the end of April).
And they merged my ticket and say confirmed the account closure.
They merged my ticket with previou ticket, which is for my banned wow2 account. I’ve already forgo this appeal and made a new account. It’s great to come back to wow after 5 months, but that only lasts less than a week.
The thing is. they put account closure on my new wow4 account( opened on Oct 15 )
They merged this ticket with old wow2 ticket. I wonder did they read my ticket for wow4?
I don’t understand that are they putting penalty on my new account based on my old account? Does that make sense?
They just grabbed my 3months sub and new expansion like fifty bucks, and ban my account?
My character armory: illidan/sevensm
I did not done any RMT stuff. For a meta Resto Shammy I did mythic+ and pvp sparks quests for gears.
I’ve created a new ticket addressing this issue.
Ticket Number: US101844266
I’m personally having a difficult time following this, Are you saying that now your newest account that you are playing on is now closed as well?
By all means, believe what you believe; I am not going to try to sway your thoughts.
It’s more of you did this action, and for that, we’re going to punish you. While you’re serving that punishment, think about what not to do that would get you punished next time, or in laymans terms, don’t do something that is against the rules.
I am not surprised by this. You are filing tickets about a different account not on your battlenet, which is not something that they will be able to discuss with you and not a ticket that you should open, it should be your friend doing so.
This part is odd to me. I would encourage putting in an appeal about your account 4, they should’ve sent an email with the reason you were banned. Working under the assumption you didn’t do that thing, an appeal should hopeful clear this up.
This whole thread is confusing. Most of the convo seems to be with someone not the OP. Further it all seems to be multiple account closures for cheating; RMT, GDKP, whatever other shady stuff.
To the OP and the new join in, appeal is you only option, discussing account actions here is not allowed and not very productive.
Though perhaps a lesson to be learned could be that it is good to be very aware of the activities of the guilds you join. And don’t participate in RMT or other shady activities. This lesson gets (re)learned here a lot.
Good luck to both of you in your appeals.
I believe they are both the same. Just started posting on a different character.
Ahhh, well that makes sense.
Wish 'em luck.
I think I’d stay clear of some of those guilds they mentioned though.
My friend’s newest account wow4 under same btag
I really hope you aren’t wasting everyone’s time by opening tickets for your friend’s account.
So… Your friends newest account was closed because of your tickets or their own tickets?
You keep saying my in your post on this forum and I admit it is quite confusing. Especially when you’re asked to clarify what is going on you bring up that it’s your friend’s account but then immediately revert back to my or mine.
If you are sending in appeals on your friends behalf. Stop, I’m being serious just stop. You are only accomplishing 3 things, and none of them are helpful to the situation.
The first being you are confusing the GMs and the Appeals team.
The second is that you are wasting GM resources with a situation that they can not help with. It’s not even a matter of them not wanting to help. It’s that are not allowed to.
The third is that you are going to quickly start moving towards GM harassment.
Now, if you are sending appeals in for your friend using their account. Stop that as well. You are not allowed to have access to their account. You can type something up for them. But they need to do the actual work.
I’m starting to wonder and this is purely guess work from my end and nothing more. There is only a loose suspicion and I don’t take that suspicion very seriously but I feel the need to say this.
If your friend has a account under your Battlenet account. That needs to stop as well. They need to have their very own Battlenet account and can not be sharing yours at all.
Is your friend’s WoW account under your battlenet?
NO, HIS ACCOUNT IS UNDER HIS OWN BTAG, HIS WOW2/3 WAS BANNED MONTHS AGO, AND NOW HIS WOW4 GOT BANNED AGAIN, AND WHEN HE SUBMIT HIS TICKET, BLIZZARD MERGED BOTH CASES TOGETHER. AND THIS IS NOT RIGHT! AND HE ONLY GETTING AUTO FEEDBACK FROM BLIZZARD. this is the main reason why I am helping him, cause at least there is a chance that real human replies me. But now is going to a infinity loop. My GM told me my friend has to submit his own ticket(just like u guys told me), at the same time, my friend can not getting serious feedback from GM (since Blizzard merged his wow4 ticket with wow2/3.)
no, his account is under his own btag, but blizzard accidentally merged his 2 separate account ticket into one, and not replying him( Since blizzard believes he is claiming his old account.)
I see. In that case, all he can do is be very specific that he is talking about his Wow4 account in his appeals, and if the GMs do not find logs supporting the penalty applied, it will be overturned. There is nothing more he can do, and certainly nothing that you can do on his behalf.
He did, but we believe no one even read his appeals… T.T
