395/400 Item Level Emissaries: Yes please

My mom told me these forums are what’s making me quit WoW. See my other thread about the enemy-making:

I have no idea what you are asking, I am retired so I am not going to do either because sitting at home and spending money and shopping and playing games is far more pleasant that either of those options.

I would love to see this. Earlier in this thread I said they should have mage tower like encounters as world quests that drop heroic/mythic loot. Maybe you only get 10 attempts per week to beat it. We have never had a failable world quest, I would be happy if we had some with increased rewards.

Maybe even make it so the boss is unable to be reset…so we can kite him to the city’s.

Yes to this.

I love pushing myself, but I hate failing a group.

lol, of course that’s your response.

I’m a normal/heroic raider. To claim that this removes the incentive to do normal or heroic is a lie. It doesn’t. Because I can do both. It’s just more chances at loot.

For people who do not do organized group content it gives them something to progress with. That’s first and foremost. I’ve got half a dozen alts that I do nothing but solo content and the Mythic weekly when it comes up (pugging 0’s to knock them out) that are sitting between 392-398. This makes Emissaries worth doing again. Additionally, it’s just more forge fishing options for people of higher ilvl who want to spend the time doing it.

And don’t pretend that non-Azerite is the same ilvl as heroic. It’s not. Hell you made the point to me that 5 ilvl is a big deal in the forging thread where I pointed out that everyone I looked at the impact was between 3-5 ilvl due to forging. So which is it, is it a big deal or isn’t it?

Because everyone deserves progression. Casuals get it via time gated random boxes. I’d rather they have something more deterministic than forging/random boxes (because I’d take advantage of it on my alts) but there’s no reason they should sit stuck behind an ilvl wall because you don’t like it.

Yes, everyone wanted to kill Arthas first. But gearing changed forever after Ulduar.

Eh very few people will raid Heroic BOD when they hit 400-410 ilvl from WQs

I’d do it for fun with a chill group. Even if it meant maybe 1/2 bosses killed per week in slow progression. I’m not really a top tier player and am fine with slow progression in content, unless I get excited or interested in the challenge.

I can agree on it if it is progression maybe. But if you could not receive but 1-2 upgrades from the raid in general would you still do it?

Of course, the fun in progressing with a cool guild is truly epic imo!

now if you remove progression from the question and you have completed the raid.

Fun guild, no progression, no loot.

Yeah then it’s let’s try Mythic maybe??? Older content? Mythic + for the guild achieve? Or just go play another game while we wait for new content I guess.

See thats all I am saying, and hell i would even run it for a few weeks after for the guild to help others gear, but it removes the reward from raiding.

I’m feeling better.

Maybe I shouldn’t use these forums if celebration turns into angst.

It’s really sad that I been using Raider IO as a progression system more than any in game systems

Definitely does impact it. I remember playing in past expansions where catch up gear would help a bit, but not invalidate the raid rewards. You’d also feel fairly powerful in outdoor content. Perhaps in Blizz’s ilevel scaling quest they inadvertently messed up their system because people needed more power just to do outdoor content. But in no way shape or form do people need an ilevel boost just to get to 350 imo.

Hell Heroic dungeons give 355 right? …

Blizzard should update the invasion reward loot to be the same ilevel as emissary quest rewards.

Heroic I can see as still being useful.

But why would you bother running LFR for loot when LFR drops 370 which is the same ilevel as world quest rewards.

It takes 2 minutes to do a world quest and if you check the map at any given time there are probably 4 or 5 world quests with loot rewards.

And that doesn’t even count emissary quest rewards which award 395… 25 ilevels higher than normal mode raiding.

370 right now actually. I feel that between warfronts, WQs, World bosses with the best possible luck you should currently only be able to hit 390. I feel that would be a solid number for an alt to begin entering valid content without feeling weak.

I am sorry if I have brought you Angst
