26 hours later, and still

They review multiple BGs and come up with a pattern of 0 damage and 0 healing before a ban is done. Not just one or even one day. If a player is constantly sponging honor from the battles, yet doing 0 damage or healing, then they are not actively participating in the BGs objectives. Also, EVERY ban has had reviews done by real people before the account action was implemented.

They did that over the weekend did they? Or did they just purposely hold onto this ban wave to screw over people on the WotLK launch?

Playing objectives needs to be taken into account.

Here is reality. People were both guilty and not guilty. That being said, there is posts of people admitting they were NOT at their keyboard (admitted in ticket), and got unbanned, check reddit. No matter someones intent, 30 days is insanity, especially with release miss.

It should. But it isnā€™t. Going forward just donā€™t cap anything. Donā€™t defend anything. Donā€™t go get the flag. These things get you banned. Only damage and healing matter.

IF ANYONE has been/heard-of unbanned TODAY, please let us know.

Iā€™m not going to say youā€™re wrong here because you have more knowledge of it than I likely ever will.

But Iā€™m not talking about player x gets 39 afk reports and they get a ban type automation. Iā€™m talking about having a lot of reports for a lot of players all doing the same activity and being reported for the same reason. I donā€™t believe those are being manually reviewed before they all get banned when you have huge waves like this. If they have software that can identify something that might be a mitigating factor and reverse those bans, I donā€™t see them not using the same setup when we have huge numbers of bans going out to ā€œreviewā€ them.

Because real reviews would have caught the ones we are now seeing shadow unbanned, real reviews take time and unless there is a reason why they would hold them, the bans would happen then and not tightly happening together.

Yes, and the objective of AV is to kill the opposing faction leader to win the match, not just sit at an uncontested base to sponge honor.

How could you possibly know the number necessary for this parameter to proc. Iā€™m going based off the blue post. You are assuming that it has to be a pattern or a string of these performances to proc a ban. No one knows.

Then what if like for 4 games you stand in a tower and get no damage or healingā€¦ but then the next 2 you do damage and healingā€¦ then for 6 games you tower defend againā€¦

I guess the ban deal is hope its 5 or more or your 4 game streak got you banned. For a month. For doing the objectives of the BG.

I donā€™t know the exact number, but it has been posted by Vrakthris who works for Blizzard that they take into account the history of multiple BGs to determine if there is a pattern of non-participation before they will action an account for such.

That isnā€™t 100% true. Standing in that base can prevent back capping which makes killing the boss easier.

In fact, no one standing at those objectives can lead to less honor and losing the game. Because when those cap you get honor. When those cap you lose defenders of the boss. The truth isā€¦ the people that just run past them and then just stand at the end and do nothingā€¦ areā€¦ honestlyā€¦ the biggest problem of the whole AV thing. But they damage some mobs and stuff that are standing around the door before they sit there for 10 minutes. So they donā€™t get banned.

Insane.

If you go to the same base, lets say in 15 different AV matches, and nobody comes to attack it, then you are not defending it as the other team isnā€™t going for that objective. If you stay there, and donā€™t get into combat with other players, then you are not participating in the teams chosen objectives. It is a TEAM event, not a solo character event.

But if you stand there for 15, and 3 times people do show up and you defend the base or lose itā€¦ you in fact were in highly important. In fact, usually there is 2-3 people there with you to defend so a solo rogue canā€™t sap and grab.

Are you telling me in an easier example for a simply mind to graspā€¦ BSā€¦ in AB. Is it the team move to abandon the post and ghost it so anyone can just ride up an take it. Or is it to stand there and defend it if people show up?

Tell meā€¦ I am truly interested because this will define you as a troll or not in this situation.

Have you ever played AV in modern WoW? You can be a meaningful contributor doing 0 damage or healing cus its not even a true PVP battleground, go click two flags and if no one back-caps on the other team youā€™ve done plenty.

Unless Blizzard detects scripts running in AV banning people for lack of participation is farcical.

Exactly it is as PVE/PVP hybrid BG. That lets lower levels mingle with max level players. It is not a who does the most damage or healing that counts BG.

I am going to be honest I doubt they care. Its all I have seen on here so far. Outraged customers getting banned for reasons not even explained to them and doing pvp objectives and just an utter shell of silence.

Its clearly in the just donā€™t acknowledge it and it will go away phase.

The Blues you see here arenā€™t looking at tickets and canā€™t move you forward in line, as that would be cutting in front of others who are waiting. It might take awhile but your ticket will be looked at and responded to when the time comes.
