Why would they intentionally make designing and balancing for Mythic much harder?
10 man mythic raiding would be great and take away the chore of getting so many people on same server together at same time. Iâd be all for it. A tight knit 10 man would be sweet!
I would love to see 10 man mythic raiding
Been screaming this from the mountaintop for years OP. They seem to be set on 20 man raiding as the standard.
Thereâs a whole reddit post that was posted this morning asking about 10 man raiding. I donât think Blizzard understands, because maybe the metrics donât show it, just how many people would return for 10 man mythic raiding.
Itâs incredibly difficult to get into a raiding group with a friend group of 4-6 people. But itâs not hard when youâre 10 man raiding and start a small guild.
I donât think blizzard realizes theyâre pushing so many people out of end game content because itâs inaccessible at 20 man raid sizes, and nobody wants to lead a guild for 20 man. Itâs garbage.
Mythic is supposed to be the hardest difficulty, not for your average returning player/casual and smol guild
10 man mythic would be great. Iâve had CE several times in the past but I really prefer smaller group content.
Having to manage a roster of 20 people gets old pretty quickly. 10 man, if balanced properly (which would be the key) could be just as difficult but more manageable from a recruitment standpoint.
Itâll bring good people back. Iâm all for it. I hope blizz does it.
I think 10 man limits design choices, for that reason alone I think 10 man shouldnât be a thing.
Mythic IS the hardest difficulty, youâre right. But that doesnât mean you canât have a 10 man option.
Your average returning player/casual smol guild doesnât exist anymore because there is nothing FOR them. Thatâs why you hear the constant complaint of âmaking the game for the top 5%â of players.
Master loot + 10 man raiding literally would bring back the majority of the missing player base.
Mythic+
Pve with multiple levels and for 5 people, for returning players and smol guilds.
While I know what youâre trying to say, I donât agree. If you canât design a good fight for 10 players, then youâre not a good designer. Not to be âthat guyâ (I donât even play the game) but FFXIV does their 8 man raiding very good and has some of the best raid design with an even smaller raid team.
And people who say that âjust do mythic plusâ donât understand that running dungeons and raiding are two very different things. Thatâs like saying âOh, you want 10 man content? Just go do RBGs since thatâs 10manâ lol
As somebody who runs a CE guild:
The worst part about raiding a fixed size like 20 is that you need more than 20 people on the roster (since people have RL things that pop up), but that when everyone is on, not everyone can play.
And telling people âyou canât play tonightâ sucks.
We had the SAME issues raiding 10-man with 11 or 12 players, back in the day.
Scaling raids are good. Everything scales except Mythic.
Make Mythic scale.
âBut what about the world first race.â I. Donât. Care. Neither do most Mythic raiders I talk to. Yâall can do whatever you want with your spectator event.
I know you said âNo to 10-man raidingâ but then you just followed it up with scaling team size of 10-30 man team size, which means âYes to 10-man raidingâ.
I think 10 man raiding in a flexible team size is exactly the fix weâd need or need to be looking for. Flexible mythic is a great solution, but understandably potentially difficult to balance. But so is everything else. Iâd rather them tackle something difficult then not try at all.
I donât want another fixed raid size. Fixed raid sizes are dumb, and 10-man comes with the same problems that 20-man does.
(Spoken as somebody who has run 20-, 10-, and 25-man raids throughout WoWâs history.)
Well what a good fight is subjective. I havenât raided in FF14 so no point in debating, we both lack perspective on the other.
I did a post about QoL regarding raid some months ago
Because, I donât like the fixed size 20, Guilds actually need 20+ in order to avoid issues when someone canât do it, it transform the game mechanic of the game more into a chore and I know raiding has certain level of responsability due to all players time involve, however this could be improved, I donât do Mythic since MoP because thereâs a playerbase that donât want or doesnât reach that amount of players for a core.
What about the concern that certain raid sizes will make bosses easier or harder?
I get that fixed sizes create logistical issues, But I think the fixed difficulty is worth it.
What about it?
Fights are already easier or harder if you stack immunities, or Boomkins, or Mass Dispels, or whatever. There are too many examples to list.
Why is that okay but letting people actually play is suddenly a problem?
