“What you saw in real life isn’t how physics works”

Ok buddy. I refuse to go down this rabbit hole. You’re right, it’s impossible to hit something with enough force that it both gets damaged and knocked back. You win.

What you saw in real life is not analogous to what youre claiming Alarak is doing. Youre trying to do a one to one translation and then utterly failing to take into account all the differences between the two scenarios.

With physical contact? Yes, it’s possible.

Without contact nor any physical means? Highly doubtful. I won’t go so far as claiming that it’s impossible; just that I can’t think of any way to do it.

Pretty sure the Energy spent in this back and forth between you 3 is enough to telekinetically throw the entire human population into Saturn.

The actual damage dealt to the humans with this energy is left to the reader’s imagination.

The whole point of telekinesis is that it generates a supernatural physical force without a physical means.

My bad, I see we’re taking away from your hearthstone and WoW discussion. I must be in the wrong forum.

No, you are not, you are very amusing.

You must be purposefully trolling me at this point. There is no way you’re this stupid.

Right back at you. I don’t know why you’re too stupid to understand what telekinesis is.

It’s a physical force, but instead of being created by physical means like punching or hitting with a car, it’s created by psionics.

Fenix and I’ll tell you why.

After the executor and Tassadar find Zeratul and get off of Char to return to Auir, they return to a very hostile conclave.

It’s been pretty established Tassadar’s force took a beating on Char, and the executors forces probably took a hit too. Yet that first mission back on Auir, you have a lot of allies, and a pretty huge well equipped base at your disposal. Why?

Fenix. My head cannon is that Fenix had so much clout and respect among the Protoss that I like to think a lot of protoss sided with Tassadar because Fenix took Tassadar’s side.

Anyone who has that much respect among his peers has my respect. Entaro Fenix!

protos use teelkinesis the basic definition is to move things with the mind they do it, already shown with the levitation, raised stones, for example in the kerrigan-Artanis vs hybrid kinematics also what it says evolution (which I considered that the author was a little lost in lore ) only indicates that Terran telekinesis has an undefined peculiar element interesting to protoss does not say that protoss do not possess telekinesis, the same protoss spies that favors this in this story is using the weapon that works with telkinesis, he does not give it to other people He use it

Alaraks W in heroes is literally called “telekinesis.”

I know. I know, ambiguously cannon, but it amuses me.

Time to wrap this debate up by bringing a 3rd party into this echo chamber that isn’t Juxtapose, like a SC wiki writer.

Who knew that moving an object with your mind is considered telekinesis? And that the most powerful psychics in the galaxy have that ability? Truly astonishing…

I always love watching people paint themselves into ridiculous positions because they’ll say whatever it takes to rabidly defend the story, no matter how stupid it is. You guys are what fuels my hatred. I never hated the story until I started conversing with the posters here.

If you means levitate themselves, then that’s clearly not Telekinesis.

Just look at their cloth. If the Protoss lift themselves up using Telekinesis, then their cloth should fall down as if they’re standing on the ground. And I refuse to believe that they consciously use their Telekinesis to move those cloth that way non-stop.

That’s clearly a result of Gravitational Nullification Field of some kind. All High Templar’s and Rohana’s cloth shows that.

@Gradius

Yeah, yeah, we know it’s our fault, never yours.

I’m not even part of this discussion, nor do I wish to be.

Please don’t call me out.

Thanks.

I’ve seen it all now.

“Can’t be telekinesis because the cloth moves”.

Wow. The excuses keep getting dumber & dumber.

What’s the debate of the hour, lads? TLDR me.

Edit: Is it just a 100 post debate on if the protoss can use telekinesis?

Based on the sources we have, it’s kinda a dubious “maybe” territory. Given all of the other crazy crap they can do, why not? Telekinesis feels like a simple enough feat compared to psionic storms, which by themselves generate a tremendous amount of kinetic energy.

The way the book should’ve framed the Terran/Protoss teamup thing is as a diplomatic gesture, wherein Artanis wants to create a level of interdependence between the races to prevent or mitigate future conflicts. Sort of like a joint military operation. And maybe a way to help mentor the Terrans’ budding psionics.

Gradius is crying foul at the idea that protoss dont have readily weaponizable telekinesis. Everybody and their cat is jumping on his fairly ridiculous position.

I’ve spent the past 100 posts trying to convince Kelthar and Spirit that the Protoss, do, in fact, have telekinesis.

I swear you two singlehandedly keep this forum alive.

You would probably find yourself getting less pushback if you stopped rejecting primary sources every time they prove inconvenient for you.
