Who would win in a fight?

15 Marines, a Siege Tank, and a Medivac
-OR-
1 Stalker and a Shield Battery

Apparently it’s 1 Stalker and a Shield Battery, thank you uThermal and MaxPax for finding out for us. Balanced game.

The series is like an hour and a half in or something. I’m still watching the vod so I don’t want to rewind and stuff. It’s Game 4 of uThermal v MaxPax.

OP: makes a claim
Also OP: I don’t have the time stamp

For those interested, go to 1:42:30. Basically, what happens is there is a push at the Protoss base, but most of the video focuses on DTs slashing SCVs on the Terran side at the same time. The Terran army on the Protoss side does manage to break through for a bit, but a few DTs and an immortal eventually ward off the attack on the Protoss side. As for the Terran side, a few DTs are wreaking havoc. MaxPax is 2 base pushing and so is uThermal.

So basically what OP says is completely false - what really got uThermal were the DTs. It didn’t have much to do with shield batteries. Once again, just blind crying.

Edit: broken quoting

My title is technically accurate, the stalker effectively won because it couldn’t be killed by 20 supply of units.

You know what my title doesn’t say? “1 Stalker Killed 20 supply then also went across the map and won the game entirely by itself” though that appears to be what Apetoss players read. Makes sense that you’re all illiterate.

Afterall, Ironleaguefelix, you’re the one that tried to argue Protoss intentionally float 1400/1000 to make 4 carriers at once as explanation for higher unspent resources, then turned around and explained why that never happens, and when finally called out and your double speak you insinuated that I couldn’t do math as if that has any relevance to you lying and making things up.

Just gonna start quoting that interaction every time you speak, because it sums you up perfectly.

Oh looks like some justice exists in this thread

Protoss units from the cost department are more similar to the heavy terran mech than granular bio (marine that has the cost of the Probe).
Now, is there anybody stupid enough to argue that SQ (Spending Quotient) of the same terran-player is the same if he plays mech or bio?
This specimen is proud of his ignorance in elementary arithmetic.
And, by the way: SQ is calculated during ALL game and not only in the first 5-6 minutes. People start with 1 Stargate at the begining but at 15-20 minute they pump Carriers/Tempests and Voids from 3-5 Stargates at a time.

The thing looks broken for real
Quite funny how memed “1 button defense” nexus overcharge is probably the best balanced Protoss superpower ever been

I stand by any word and sentence that i have said on the subject. Normal posters can be the judge of that.
Your childish antics don’t impress anyone.
Please tell us: The SQ of the same player that plays bio or mech is the same?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Your double speak will never die, I’m proud of you for embracing your hypocrisy (〜^∇^ )〜

LUL, do you have any idea of how long takes for 15 Marines and 1 Tank to focus-fire the SB? One 10 DPS Stalker meantime can’t even kill a single marine.
You and the OP should be embarrassed by the stupid thread.
Terran did the most elementary stupid mistake and this clown tried to inflate it as…SB OP.

Pathetic.

Is there a specific game design decision to make protoss able to hold 20 limit terran push?
It’s literally 100m static defence plus 125\50 unit plus energy
Which is basically a queen + spine crawler + 2 lings or a bunker + 4 marines — can you even hold a 20 limit push with that? Not losing anything?

No, you can’t. There is no other static defense in the game that will single-handedly enable a 125/50 unit to hold against 20 supply of army unassisted. Obviously after that the game was won by DTs. The match wasn’t even decided by that moment, it’s just inexcusable game design that the aforementioned unit interaction can happen. The Apetoss brigade just doesn’t want to acknowledge that so they misrepresent the argument and strawman it.

The only thing that was true in this thread was the answer from Collegewings. Apparently some trolls got offended and flagged it, after which a mod turned up and made it visible again.

If there is any conclusion we could draw from this is that basically everyone who flagged that post (in person and with alts) and who liked oldwhoisbannednow his post(s) can’t even acknowledge simple stated truths and are making it very difficult for everyone to take them seriously.

Apparently some people have it so difficult with being stuck at a certain level and are so narrowminded and toxic, that they even will resort to this sort of trolling-tactics in the hope it will stir up something… Sad.

Sad and game-killing. I’ve been saying for years that whine terrans literally kill the game. And now, it is done.

Batz is just a sad clown now. He’s simply a court jester for the terrans. Inciting them up into a frenzy to whine even more so.

The entire argument from CollegeWings is literally a strawman and has nothing to do with what I said. Where did I say the Stalker killed the other side? Where did I say that was the only thing that happened? I didn’t. Anywhere. I described a unit interaction. So, nice strawman arguments.

Defending a strawman argument with a slippery slope argument  I would expect nothing less from Apetoss.
