Having expensive units tend to degrade the “spending skill”. A cycle of Carriers from 4 Stargates requires a bank of 1400/1000 resources.
This bank (otherwise why build more than one Stargate) artificially makes the spending-skill appear lower than it is in reality.

So you’re saying GM Protoss wait for 1400/1000 bank then start four carriers at once?

Also the ONLY reason to build out of more than 1 Stargate is to spend 1400/1000 that you’ve built up for the occasion? I can tell you play Protoss. Any other race would balk at that.
