In the past and present I said that p has problems in some pvz areas,but didnt ask for buffs,only abduct change and never said the matchup is broken or anything. The race problem is mostly design so I dont know what kind of buff would help in pvz without damaging the other matchups.I think the only buff I asked was 1 supply reduction for tempests and maybe change (not buff or nerf) for collo since they are too specialized.

Special pleading is an informal fallacy wherein one cites something as an exception to a general or universal principle (without justifying the special exception).
E.g., if players are playing harder for more money in tournaments, then it applies universally to all races, and everything stays relative and balance is measurable. If players aren’t playing as hard on the ladder, neither are are their opponents and everything stays relative and balance is measurable.
A factor that remains symmetrical is not a factor capable of explaining asymmetry. That is, if something applies equally to all races, then it can’t explain a difference between those races.

Ye, the double standards are amazing. They will simultaneously assert that GM / Masters winrates/representation don’t matter, then turn around and do a 180 and say NO YOU CAN’T BUFF ZERG THEY WILL DOMINATE GM LEAGUE! (See Sentry’s posts above)
Nothing affects pro play because it’s primarily driven by factors other than balance, such as ENORMOUS skill disparities.
Ok. So if we are going to go historical, why have Protoss won the least GSLs? The least Blizzcons? Why are the top 6 earners of all time in SC2 Terran and Zerg players? It really doesnt pass the smell test that Protoss is more powerful.
And honestly, though it is just conjecture either way, I have no doubt that Classic would have been more successful playing Zerg or Terran. He could have been an all time great. Classic was like a Maru or Byun type player. He was so good with certain strategies (particularly WP and Immortal) that he was a huge reason they got nerfed. Not to the extent of Byun with reapers but close. I cant imagine the damage Classic could have done in Zerg heyday (Pre-nerf nydus, BL, and Infestor) and with his good micro would have done very well with Terran.
Skill and luck. It’s not hard to understand that extremely limited samples don’t have statistical significance.

Those samples can’t be combined into one since they are stratified across multiple game versions.
Yeah got it. But he is bringing up stuff from HOTS and prior. I get it that you are only concerned with the balance here and now.
I would be happy to bring the discussion about why professional players arent flocking to Protoss here and now if they are so overpowered. I understand your stance that Protoss is not underperforming if you look at total winnings. Which makes sense. I’m just saying I dont see much evidence they are overperforming now and certainly not historically.
Because race switching is incredibly rare and that’s a proven fact during every era of imbalance that has ever existed. It takes years for a player to get into top form with ONE race.

Do it. Let zerg spike gm. Like it matters. Zerg is the best race right now with convienly the best Players. Nothing will change. Protoss will still not win anything important but at least they cant cheese the GM league anymore
On a sidenote: can we convince serral and reynor to also have 4 smurf Accounts each in gm ?
