in theory it should, lol, but at this point who knows. this authentication problem seems to be happening like ever month now but its wierd cause most of the accounts it affects are people who havent played in a long time, but there are a few exceptions cause adventurer aka slammer who plays regularly seems to be running into the same problem as them also, so yeah i dont know. ive been trying to post as much as i can with the fixes that have helped everyone but the way i get heat for doing so and having to do it like ten times a day cause people just dont read first is getting pretty old, think im gonna just let them all have at it from now on.
Same problem. Tried the suggested fix (below), no luck.
holy bells dude read the post previously posted for fixs. yall have the time to post yet no time to read. smdh your all so incompetent it hurts my brain reading these post anymore
I am having the same issue. I can log into Europe but not the Americas.
I ran both update check and repair check and still get the error
@Leviathan / Winterkn3: thanks for the additional info. I ran out of time to play last time I posted, so I figured I would try again tonight. This time when I launched the Battle.net app I had two Battle.net updates that needed permission to install. I don’t know if that had anything to do with the authentication issue, or were completely unrelated, but… after I installed the updates and launched Battle.net app again, I was able to launch SC2 normally, in the US, with no authentication error. Maybe this was a bug that was fixed?
Another strange thing or maybe a clue. I noticed that when I launched Battle.net app BEFORE the updates it displayed my login and just before the Battle.net Home Screen loaded, I saw that the password I entered was emptied from the password field. I thought that was odd. More strange was that after I ran the updates, just before the Battle.net Home Screen loaded, my password stayed filled in. Again, could be just coincidence, but I wanted to mention it in case it ends up being helpful to anyone.
Either way, I’m just glad it’s working again.
most likely the problems were fixed after the holiday break. seems like all the complaints stopped the very first business day after the holidays ended. this has been the norm lately when things break, they break on a weekend and or holiday and then dont get fixed till after staff come back. as for that password thing that happens occasionally ive seen that on my end many times when you get logged out from bliz app. as for the updates to bnet app thats usually every week with that thing, mostly there just updating the things that you see mainly on your feeds in the app. glad to hear its working tho.
@Winterkn3: thanks for the info. So it sounds like it was probably just coincidence on my part. Well, I was able to get a game in tonight, first time in over a year, so that was fun.
无法登录到游戏,一直报警“战网服务暂时中断”
from US trying to log on KR, keep having there is a temporary outage issue.
1/14/25
Same issue, read through the entire page of suggestions and attempted, nothing has worked.
I understand servers for an old game being unstable, that isn’t surprising. But I can’t play offline campaign? Unless I rip out my internet access and pretend I don’t have a connection? Absolutely unacceptable business practice.
Same for me can’t even play the game offline cause you need to get in once and I FLIPPING CAN’T!
Hey BlueAlex27,
Try fully logging into one of the other regions, then attempt offline again.
Same happening to me. Unable to log in to US or EU, can log into KR which I’d never done before because it asked me to create a username for that region. Seems like existing accounts on the other realms are broken and have been for several months? (I keep finding older reports of this) This is pretty ridiculous
edit: For context I haven’t played since 2022 and decided to give it a try today. At least I can play on KR I guess
Tried all of the “fixes” and nothing working apparently I can login and play on korean servers but US/EU S the bed and nothing works to fix. went as far as to basically completely uninstall and delete all data from registry for battle.net and clean reinstall everything and same issues. short of factory resetting my PC currently idk what more I am supposed to do except ask blizzard to get it together.
same issue here i can only get into Korean 0.0
how do i get back into NA? whats the fix?
Sorry, Lebronce, but you need to brush up on your insult vocab.
There’s no mention of Bliz or any other business. Meaning, I haven’t bootlicked anything. Except for maybe reality, which I’ll take over what ever tired cliche that you’re attempting here.
Between you and winderkn3, i can feel my brain rotting, idk whats worse, if bootliking or suggesting people are botting drama on a 15 years old dead game lmao
whats your problem dude?
Idk maybe reading you multiple times skim thru people saying fixes dont work, while insulting them for having a problem that i found in multiple plataforms from around 3-4 months old lmao
