Hey Blizz!! Use the billions of dollars you get from the in game stores and do something useful besides making skins, mounts, and petsā¦ $90 for a wow mount?? Talk about a cash grab!!

First, itās common misconception that all money in a business is freely accessible to everyone in the buisness. Thus, the amount of money is irrelevant. Individual franchises/departments canāt just take whatever amounts of money they want from corporate.
Second, SC2 ended development over four years ago. Meaning, its priority is very low. When smaller impact bugs appear, they tend to be left as is. When larger impact bugs appear, they tend to only be bandaided. In other words, very little money is being put into the game anymore, by design.
This is something that people who choose to play retired games have to make peace with.
As for the current problem, when it happened over last weekend, it was fixed fairly early on Monday morning. Hopefully it will be the same this time.
I canāt even play single player I paid money for this game I expect to be able to at least play it thatās sort of why I spent money on the game in the first place, I get what your trying to say but this is a business and I paid money for a service

No video game, purchased or not, is ever warranteed to last forever.
There are 1000s of past video games, even purchased ones, that no longer function because they were retired. Blizās own D1, WC1 and WC2 donāt function correctly due to their development stopping years ago.
SC2 is now part of that club. Over time, as technology advances and SC2 does not, itās going to degrade more and more. Again, itās something that people who choose to play retired games have to make peace with.
Leviathan why preach to the choir. As if the previous commenters are unaware of this stuff.
If blizzard isnāt going to make a game that works properly then they should at least offer the game for free instead of penalizing people who purchased it.
Stop defending blizzard. They donāt need anyone defending them. They made a poor choice when they made SC2 online only and now they can reap the penalties from clients/fans alike.

wait it says free to play. Do you still have to purchase it 11/11/24?
I donāt think so anymore but I bought the game like a thousand years ago

Iām getting this issue too, my friend is able to log in but not me. Itās probably been over a year since Iāve launched the game. Tried reinstalling, tried the beta Battle.net client, and I AM able to connect to the EU server (but it has none of my co-op stuffā¦)
For anyone else, If you only want to play offline campaign/skirmish, you can turn off your internet connection to play offline, or connect to the EU server

I have literally never been able to log in or play StarCraft II. I downloaded it several days ago and every time I try to log in and play, I get the same error: āThere is a temporary outage of the Battlenet service. Please try again later.ā
I am online in the Battlenet application, but unable to log into StarCraft II. This outage is not seeming very temporary. Iām very disappointed that this game seems to be abandoned - I was hoping to play it with my friends.

I was just replying to specific people who didnāt seem to understand based off their posts.
Everything except the three expacs and 15 of the Coop Commanders are free. As for the purchased parts, your suggestion isnāt unreasonable, but it is unlikely. D1 ,WC1 and WC2 are still sold and they have all sorts of problems.
This is a tired cliche that seems to surface when one hasnāt any real rebuttal. Saying the sky is blue isnāt defending the sky. Likewise, explaining the situatuon isnāt defending it. No where have I judged any of the situation to be correct, or offered opinions on it being appropriate, or labeled it as good, etc.
Itās fine to not like the situation. I actually donāt like it at all. But donāt let that frustration, annoyance, sadness, etc cloud your thinking.
Considering that the vast majority of all multiplayer games are made fully online for legitimate reasons, itās hardly a poor choice.
And reap what penalties? What is making Bliz regret their decisions? Itās not going to be internet complaints. Historically, thatās no different than any other playersā response to a game ending development.

This argument is extremely disingenuous. If it is a game you are gonna advertise for money to be bought and paid for at this very moment it needs to be maintained. These old games you speak of are all CD oriented. Iāll be damned if Steam sells a game that is no longer playable. It needs to be removed from the store and put out the pasture truly instead of advertising a functional product. That is just malicious as all get out and I canāt believe that was your argument for why we should be content to not have access. Considering Starcraft remastered is 25 years old and still plays and functions perfectly fine. Live service and always online games are a cancer. Also to your argument about it being free. I would say more than 70% of the players that log in to that game are playing campaign mods, arcade, or coop commanders. Again extremely disingenuous.

This is a wild response from an actual Customer Support representative. This game is currently on the home page on PC Xbox Game Pass giving it tons of visibility and bringing in new players like myself. Not only am I upset that an advertised game on a paid for service (Game Pass) is down despite it being advertised as the āCampaign Collectionā heavily advertising the narrative single player aspect but I also come to the forums to see a paid Blizzard employee actively dismissing issues and being combative to the player base. This is no way to represent an iconic franchise such as Starcraft.
Also, requiring an internet collection to play the single player aspect of this game should be a crime.

Agreed, especially since it was just added to Game Pass. Terrible first impression for anyone who just downloaded it to be met with some generic ātemporary server outageā error. The EU server loophole doesnāt seem to be working for me, and I canāt play offline because the game has never properly connected before.
I wonder why MS bothered to add it to Game Pass in this state. Seems like, if there are going to be login issues every weekend, then maybe just let the game fall by the wayside and be forgotten instead of promoting it on Game Pass.

Diablo IV is complete trash!! The original lillith campaign was way to shortā¦ All the so called seasons should have been adding to the storyā¦ Yet none of them really doā¦ Just a new battle pass and more money grabs!! The real sad issue here is the difference in game serversā¦ Seasonal Vs. Eternalā¦ Eternal is for sh*t!! To see the new stuff you have to play on seasonal, which means you have to level a new character every new seasonā¦ (Blizz calls this contentā¦)
With all the money Blizzard makes from the WOW store for pets and mounts and such, why has Blizz thrown us a bone and dropped the sub fee??
Now back to StarCraft!!! Why canāt I play the single player campaigns offline?? Or against the AI bots offline?? I need no connection to Blizz for thatā¦ I bought the collectors edition for all the StarCraft titlesā¦ I have the pets in WOW to prove it!!
The bottom line here is we as customers have allowed Blizzard and Activision (I am aware that Microsoft now owns Blizzard) to rob us of your dignity and our moneyā¦

I stopped playing WOW because of a $90 mountā¦ Just the audacity alone for that kind of price point tells me Blizzard doesnāt give crap 1 about their customersā¦ I stopped playing overwatch awhile ago, and Diablo 4 is also on my chopping blockā¦
Simply put, for the amount of money Blizzard has made from us, it would be nice and smart if they reinvested some of that money back into their games!!!
This current issue with StarCraft is simply unacceptableā¦ And your response is pathetic!!
