Just because you suck at TvP does not mean that everybody does. You got a F on formal logic. Is your premise that every terran with his grandmother and the cat has precisely 10% TvP, 80% TvZ and 80% TvT?
Then an observer would conclude that âŚTerrans are beating Terrans with an alarming rate.
LOL, the troll is using a technicality to make his point. At 4, MSC was removed and the heavy hitting Stalker introduced as part of the compensations. After that the sky fell due to terran whine and Stalker was nerfed back at a middle ground betweem the 3.8 and 4 Stalker.
The troll conveniently forgot that the 4 Stalker was a partial way to keep in check Drops in the absence of MSC that dealt 2700 damage all by itseld firing on 4 Pylons.
Moronteam was not even content with th Stalker nerff, they removed two of the soft-counters to Medevac-drops in protoss bases: FB-damage and Stasis Ward.
Itâs useless to debate with people in bad-faith. He is smart, so the alternative that he is speaking from stupidity holds no water. Remains bad-faith.
Youâre not, but itâs not the fault of TVP, though, youâre currently sitting at 53% (and have been north of 50/50 for a good long while). ZVP has been Zerg dominated for going on 6 years now.
Again, Iâm not saying warpgate is OP. I am saying that itâs something that needs to be taken into account for literally every balance/design decision that has been made to protoss. To think otherwise is folly, and you still havenât come up with an argument against it.
Yes, timing attacks should be hard to hold. Theyâre designed to be that way, but being hard to hold doesnât mean they should be impossible to hold - which is what we seem to be seeing with a lot of PvZs these days where protoss is finding it near impossible to hold Zerg timings.
Iâm also not saying that you canât buff warpgate, just that itâs incredibly difficult to do so without also completely breaking the unit relationships between units, and various timing attacks.
You have to be careful with how you buff gateway units, specifically because of Warp-gate. Not that it canât be done, just that you have to look at every possible angle, and see whether the buff will do whatâs intended without adversely effecting other relationships, or effecting them in such a way that these effects are minimal.
How is it trash? Saying the argument is âtrashâ doesnât make it any less true. Again, youâve not actually presented any arguments against what Iâve said. Iâd be all for buffing the tempest meaningfully, but as with all long ranged units, it has to be done carefully.
As for the Thor, itâs literally designed to counter massive air units specifically. Itâs not that good against units like void rays (meme unit that it is) and Zealots for example, and is downright trash against immortals. If you donât know how to counter thors (and theyâre not hard to counter - hint; tempests and carriers are not their counter) then Iâm not sure what to tell you. What makes you think Thors are OP?
And might I suggest coming back with some actual counter-arguments, instead of just calling things âtrashâ just because you donât like them?
I did, I pointed out that a unit should be judged by how it fulfills its role instead of a checklist. The tempest is a hardcore fail at doing any task.
The thor has counters, the tempest is a meme.
I donât particularly care if it lost other attributes, as long as it killed something⌠anything.
Iâm terribly tired of the double standard of being âvery carefulâ about buffing protoss because reasons, but with the other races itâs cool too introduce OP stuff all the time and maybe âtweak itâ later.
And what would you suggest for decreasing Protoss representation in the RO16/RO32 and top 10 rankings? Because if you want to buff them so much that they win more tournaments then every other round will be completely Protoss dominated.
Theres no perfect solution that I can come up with, but after 3 years of protoss barely winning any tournaments surely we can tolerate a patch where protoss dominates.
The fact of the matter is that this is a crappy situation for the entire race, and it should not remain this way.
stop making it rely on gimmicks and ending the game before a certain point in time.
Give it a rock solid macroâ> lategame option against Terran.
Especially after the last patch, both zerg and protoss need significant lategame buffs. Zerg has entered Protoss territory in terms of lategame weakness.
